This is our neighborhood restaurant and we are happy to live close by and be able to frequent Savona regularly. The current menu is especially strong with many great seasonal dishes as well as long time favorites. And we had the loveliest server who was warm and welcoming and made our evening even more delightful along with the delicious food. She was great. The only downside is that the food took exceptionally long to be prepared. But otherwise everything was wonderful.
I hadn't been to Savonna in a while and met a friend last night for dinner. I was reminded how nice the ambience is, low-lit, cozy and not too loud. Our server was great and so attentive. The food was delicious. I will be coming back!
As always the food is top-notch in this restaurant. The artichoke dish could have come to the table a little hotter, otherwise there were no issues.
Excellent service. Couldn't have had a better waitress. Food was delicious. Thanks for the complimentary prosecco to celebrate our anniversary! Appetizers and main dishes were so good we had no room for dessert. We'll be back!
The food and service were amazing. We went for my husband's birthday on a Saturday evening and it was packed. We were seated upstairs which kinda muted the noise from downstairs and the bar area. Our server was amazing, she made sure we were taken care of. They have valet complimentary parking so you don't have to worry about that. Definitely will be returning again. It is pricey and just make sure they don't charge you for garnishes in your drink. We caught that $4.00 for two cherries 🍒
We got to restaurant around 6:30. Didn't get served Main course until 7:50 after complaining to waiter that we were going to leave. Pasta and clams so so. Fish of the day and mushrooms very good. Waiter couldn't care less if we were there or not. Parking lot pitch black. Very disappointing
Outstanding dinner celebrating my wife's birthday. Food and service was excellent. Enjoyed talking wines with the sommelier and got a great recommendation for a bottle. Was quiet and relaxing on a Sunday night. Been coming here for past 20 years to celebrate special occasions. Never disappointed. They have maintained high quality and service. Great choice for fine dining out in the Philly burbs
My wife and I had a lovely dinner at Savona tonight. We got there early, before the Villanova's Parents Weekend crowd arrived, and it was a delight. Ricky at the valet stand and our server, Clifford were both standouts.
The entire experience was just perfect. From our server, to everyone who brought our food out, and to the incredible tasty food. Everyone was just so nice and they all made sure we had a pleasant experience. Will definitely go again.
Fantastic experience 9/13/25. Party of 10 in the wine cellar room. Our waiter Clifford was amazing ! Food was spectacular from presentation to taste.

We were treating 4 friends of ours to a top notch dinner at Savona known for unbelievable service and awesome food items on the menu. We were lucky enough to get a corner round table which was just perfect for the evening. Our server Mark came over, introduced himself, had a big smile on his face, welcomed us all to this wonderful restaurant and that really set the tone for the evening. After he went over some dinner specials he took our cocktail order. Our friends were very particular about how they wanted their cocktails made and he got every one of them made perfectly to their satisfaction. When he went over some of the specials and highlighted some items on the menu, he went over them in such detail that one would've imagined that he had cooked all of these dishes himself. When he described the mahi-mahi special I ordered that immediately. Our friends ordered the fillet, pasta, swordfish and branzino. They commented on how beautifully all these dishes were plated by the chef and how tasty they were. The desserts that we ordered were just as good as the entrées. None of this surprised me because this is what we are used to at Savona. What really made the evening special and memorable for us and for my dinner guests was our server Mark. He did something that I've never seen done by anyone else before and that was in the beginning of the evening, he introduced himself to each person at the table and not only got their first name but remembered their names right through dinner. At the end of the evening he thanked each one of them again using their first names for coming to the restaurant. Our friends were absolutely blown away. He had an unbelievable amount of professionalism and yet balanced that well with his awesome sense of humor which entertained us all evening. THANK YOU Mark for truly being a stand out server in the Philadelphia area and for making this a "special" evening for our friends to enjoy and remember !!!
It was our first time at Savona. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and from the second we entered the restaurant, everyone was extraordinarily nice, polite, and helpful. Our server Kristan was fantastic, the restaurant provided a complementary champagne, and the chef did a fantastic job with everything that we ate. The wood grill octopus and the Dover sole were absolutely perfect. We look forward to eating here again.
The meal was lovely and the service impeccable. We were there for a special occasion and were treated so well. One note: Open Table has the wrong address! The restaurant is at 100 Old Gulph Road in Wayne, not Gulph Mills. I initially showed up at some poor person's home. Thankfully it was only 12 minutes away so I didn't miss my reservation
The whole experience at Savona is the best. The staff is amazing...food is always amazing....atmosphere is beautiful. 10/10
As always, was amazing. However, the new street lamp is insanely bright and really ruins the ambiance on the enclosed porch. Likely nothing Savona can do about that, though
