I don't know if she was the owner, but she was awesome to impress us when we were looking to order and came out and explained things to us when we had questions and we felt like family when we were there. The food here is excellent. Probably the best Chinese in Mechanicsburg or close.
Problem is the best food is only the best if you can get it in a reasonable time.
Tonight I put in my order at 518pm, the website said it would be ready in 45 minutes. I showed up at 605pm and then waited another 55 minutes for my food. There was someone who said they put in their online order at 430pm and did not receive it until 630pm.
That isn't the first time I've ordered from here, shown up at the prescribed time and had to wait. Something is not right with the kitchen process.
One or more things needs to happen: make food estimates realistic; had I known it would take nearly 2 hours, I would have gone somewhere else.
Or, they need to shut off online orders when they get too many.
Or, they need to figure out their process to determine why it would take hours to make food. The food is good, but even after waiting nearly two hours for mine, it was not piping hot which implies to me it was sitting back there for a while.
Yes there were a lot of orders, but that doesn't explain a 2 hour wait.
If you want good food you can come here, but be prepared to wait.

We always order at least an hour in advance, yet every time I arrive, there’s an additional 20 minutes to over an hour of waiting. Something in their process clearly isn’t working.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best dinners I’ve had from out in a while. Ever since Evergreen went out I’ve been struggling to find better than mediocre Chinese around here. This place got some high praise on Nextdoor so I decided to try it, and I was not disappointed. The food was super tasty and fresh. I ordered a spicy dish and it was actually spicy. The service was excellent. The price was very reasonable for the portions. This will definitely be my go to Chinese spot. Highly recommend!

We had such an amazing experience at Jasmine’s Chinese Kitchen! Our server, Stella, was absolutely wonderful — so attentive, kind, and genuinely went above and beyond. She surprised us with fresh doughnuts and extra chicken on the house, which totally made our night! You can tell she truly cares about her guests. We’ll definitely be coming back, thanks to her!
