It's pretty bad when you have to change your review several times because of the up and down service that this place gives. Just be consistent! Tonight it's just like it's terrible we walk in there the parking lot is half empty and we see two couples walk out finish eating we're standing there for 10 minutes finally a hostess comes out, two of them and ask if we had a reservation and we didn't it's 5:30 p.m..They said well we're sorry we're only taking reservations tonight because we're closing early. There's no sign that says there's only reservations. "I can't give you a wait time and then I said will people just left so there's tables? "yeah but we got a whole bunch of reservations coming in". Parking lot was half empty. People weren't rushing in at 5:30?. She said we can hang out at the bar and see if something opens? What kind of advice is that I don't want to be sitting there with a bunch of people drinking alcohol? Be consistent put a sign on the door reservations only, or hang out at the bar. I had to wait 10 minutes to be disappointed. I will never ever get those 10 minutes back. What were you doing for 10 minutes. People behind us said the same thing. We normally go to Bella Fiona next door because these two restaurants are in our neighborhood and we try to support local business. But it's like butcher and the barkeep don't want us to. My wife said that that was fine, a permanent closure to going there. Bella Fiona has not gave us one problem since we've been going there.

Highly recommend! Bartenders were ALL super friendly and attentive, esp Dylan which is so rare to find. Food was amazing! We got calamari, sexy fries, mussels and fish tacos. Need to come back to try more menu items!

B&B is a local staple. Food is always good, creative rotating cocktail menu and large whiskey & beer selection. Service is typically pretty good. Dinner menu starts at 4pm even though their website says 3pm. Go check them out!

Last night I took my grandfather out for his birthday. He arrived before me and our 6pm reservation so he grabbed a couple beers from the bar. The tender told him about the new menu items including the southern fried chicken.
We get seated, order drinks and then the server comes for our order but before my grandfather can order she said, sorry we’re not serving the southern fried chicken right now but maybe later. That was exactly what he wanted. We asked why and she said because we’re seating big party right now and we want to give them all the option. So we don’t get the option although we were seated first, our reservation was before theirs and we’re ordering right now as they are just being seated.
This makes zero sense for other guest in the restaurant to have an establishment reserve certain dishes for a party that they didn’t even pre order. She said It was being done as a precautionary measure to make everyone in that party happy in case they all want this apparent legendary fried chicken (it was mediocre)
Manager needs to take a few courses on hospitality.

Last night, we celebrated our anniversary at The Butcher and Barkeep, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, making us feel special throughout the evening.
The food was nothing short of impeccable. Each dish was expertly crafted, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. It’s clear that the chefs take great pride in their work.
To top off the evening, we were surprised with a delightful lemon ricotta cookie paired with a dollop of vanilla ice cream as a special anniversary gift. It was the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful night.
We can’t thank The Butcher and Barkeep enough for making our celebration so memorable. We will definitely be back!

Prime rib was all gone when I went to order and I indicated to the waitress that I wanted it as soon as we sat down... The filet was my substitute and it was delicious and so were the smashed sweet potatoes(as a substitute fir mashed potatoes) We ordered the flourless chocolate cake and at 1st they brought out a cookie but it did get returned and we shared the flour less chocolate cake with 3 of us...delicious!! We live within walking distance of the Butcher and Barkeep... Our special needs adult son lived the pickle chips and the chicken and waffles!! We were accommodated and like returning to eat the food
