My friend and I tried this restaurant because she thought the menu looked appealing. We were looking for somewhere that neither of us had eaten before to celebrate her birthday. The atmosphere was nice and the service received was fabulous! Our waitress was attentive and polite. My friend raved about the hummus and my crab cakes were delicious! Also the apple crisp we both had for dessert was the best apple crisp I've had in awhile. The serving size was plentiful. I'd come back to the restaurant just for that. I'll definitely be back to eat here again!

We love going to Butcher. The bartenders are great at recommending a beer to compliment your meal. Absolutely love the Shrimp and Grits!

This was my first time going to the Butcher and the Barkeep for a Birthday dinner for my daughter on Sunday August 17, 2025. The food was excellent, the service was on point and the atmosphere was a party. Loved everything about this restaurant. Will go back and the manager Krista went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. Thank you. Christine Atkins

What a great little place! Went on a Thursday night and service was super quick! Had the ahi tacos with greens! Tacos were amazing and the greens were super fresh…yay!
Also had a Cosmo Kramer drink which was delightfully strong and not super sweet, with hints of pineapple and a super juicy lime wedge!….Perfect!!!! This will be a favorite of ours I’m sure. Super friendly server as well! Thanks for our first Harleysville dining experience!

We stopped here for dinner on a Friday in July while on our way to a show at the Sellersville Theater. We arrived around 7p. We were looking for somewhere to stop along the way and the menu looked good online.

There was a 20 minute wait for a table when we arrived and no seats open at the bar but the hostess suggested we wait in “the lounge” until a table was ready. This is just a small space beside the bar with a couple of church pew benches for sitting. We got drinks from the bar and waited there. I don’t even think it was quite 20 minutes when they came to get us for the table.

Our server was with us quickly to give us menus and take our dinner order. We shared the fried green tomato appetizer and Cajun shrimp and chicken entree. There were some daily specials on a chalkboard behind us that we didn’t notice until we ordered - if I would have seen that we would have gotten mussels. Oh well, everything happens for a reason. The tomatoes were good but had too much goat cheese for my liking. I scraped some of it off. The shrimp/chicken entree was ok. I was expecting it to be a little spicy since it was Cajun but it was more smokey flavored instead. It was a good flavor anyway and it was plenty to split between the two of us.

The place was busy when we got there but the crowd slowly thinned out over the course of an hour. Our server was friendly and attentive. He was busy too but didn’t seem stressed about it.

The atmosphere was casual. Even with a large crowd it wasn’t super loud in there. Prices were similar to other places we have been. Parking is a shared lot with other businesses in the strip mall.

The food was ok. The service was good.

Bummer. When they first opened their food was top notch! I’m not sure what’s happened here, but I gave this place a a chance 3 times in the past few months and each time the food is extremely bland, poorly made and over priced. If I was going here for JUST drinks, it would be perfect. Atmosphere and vibes are on point, something totally and completely off with the food, whether it’s a cook that’s been there for a while now, I’m not sure but that’s for the owners to figure out.

The food was about average priced. The menu had interesting choices. The wait staff were very nice. However, the hostess wasn't very welcoming. It looked like she didn't want to be there and made us feel like we weren't supposed to be there. Seating is mixed booths and high-top tables. There is a bar and looked to be many choices.Very nice atmosphere. It doesn't seem to have a dress code but the hostess looked us up and down like there may be one? So not entirely sure.

Party of nine and no one liked their meal. Fries were limp and almost burnt. Served corn with seafood? Coleslaw was just a very small portion in a small paper cup. One filet was sent back could not even cut it and was very small. Never go back

Server was very engaging and friendly. Great at offering recommendations and checked in at regular intervals. Food was fantastic (salmon with sweet corn risotto and cinnamon toast crunch creme brulee) and the atmosphere was cozy.
