It's not a typical strip mall restaurant. We decided last minute to go here and were pleasantly surprised. Arrived just after opening and initially felt under dressed, but after the owner greeted us, we quickly forgot our discomfort as we took in the nicely decorated room and tables. The menu has plenty of options, including a list of specials plus a few items he mentioned that weren't listed but may have been because it was the Friday after Valentine's Day. We opted for the Veal Parm. My husband got the Clams Casino appetizer, which he said was the best he's ever had. The salad with house dressing was packed with veggies along with the lettuce, and the house dressing was definitely not from a bottle. My barley soup was flavorful as was everything we had. The large piece of veal was sliced thin, which may have made it not as tender as it could have been, but I still enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the seasoned mixed veggies I chose instead of the pasta. The tiramisu is a cake version but very good. That and the chocolate cake do have a liquor flavor added to them, which is strong but not overpowering to me, but may be for some. We will definitely return to try something new.

I never leave reviews but I just had to because we just had my sister’s birthday dinner at Caruso’s and it was such a wonderful experience. The whole time we we were treated with such kindness and Italian hospitality. The atmosphere is so quaint and beautiful- it made me feel like we were in Italy! You can tell the owner is really proud of his restaurant. It was just two of them running the whole place and doing it well- you could tell they really appreciated our business. Such great service. This type of family restraint really deserves the business.We got the fried calamari and it was the best I ever had. The calamari tasted like real calamari- each piece was actually full of calamari and not chewy at all. I got the lobster ravioli and you could really taste the lobster! Everything was truly delicious. I could not recommend this restaurant enough!

Recommended Caruso's to our friends for our NYE celebration. Let's put it this way...I was embarrassed. It never mentioned on the website that there would be a very limited menu. Selected chicken marsala and I got a cold glob of salty chicken with a clump of pasta. It was horribly unappetizing and the sentiment was shared by my fellow diners. Left all of it and our server was kind enough to take off two entrees. Won't be rushing back any time soon.

What a really nice place. The food is freshly made by the owner himself. He took our order to make sure everything would be just right. If he has the ingredients he'll make you anything. Great experience. BYOB! I'll definitely be returning.
