First off, it's important to note that Steel Penny does not allow customization of menu items. They're very rigid about substitutions or adjustments, which feels a bit off-putting and inflexible, especially for those who like to tweak their orders.

Absolutely love Steel Penny! It’s a fun, quirky cafe. Excellent coffee and food. The cream cheese toast with cucumbers is delicious as are their pizzas and sandwiches! It’s mesmerizing watching the happenings at the steel yard while having breakfast.
The Shredder Detroit pizza was one of the best and most interesting pizzas I've ever had. Brussel sprouts are surprisingly good on pizza and it hit literally every flavor possible at once but really balanced. Also the blueberry cobbler latte was so good!
Only downside to this place is the parking lot is kinda hard to get in/out.
