This is a fun little place with regular “fast food” and ice cream. The milkshakes are delicious as were the burgers and fries. Prices are fine.

Amazing piece of history with a great chicken gyro to match. My friend also ordered some pierogis and commented how good they were- she’s part Polish & Ukrainian so she knows her pierogis haha.
The team members were all super friendly and the owner even took the time to show me a video of his pup and grandson once he learned I’m a petsitter.
A great experience and if you’re ever in or near Hellertown, I highly suggest stopping into Vassi’s!

I wish I took pictures but I didn’t. The location is very easy to get to. The we got a chicken and vegetarian gyro and a side of chili cheese fries and all of it was delicious. We chose outdoor seating and they’ll find you and bring the food to you. There is a separate entrance in the back of the building for the dining room but you enter in the front to order. It’s really close to the main drag and also some highway entrances/exits so it is a super busy location. The menu is pretty extensive and not as cheap as it used to be or, in my opinion, as it should be. But it was still a great spontaneous stop and neither the food or service disappointed.

Gyros are delicious!! Mozzarella sticks were so stretchy & lots of cheese! Great atmosphere & staff.
Been looking for a good gyro place and we found it! Tzatziki sauce is on point, gyro meat is cooked on their vertical rotisserie which is the ONLY way to do it! Staff is friendly. French fries were food as well as the mozzarella sticks. Food was piping hot fresh and fast.
Parking: Lots of parking including 2 handicap spots.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp, dining room is small so if it is crowded it might be a tight fit. They do have outdoor seating as well.
Great foods... gyro, hotdogs, burgers... one size on fries & offer pierogi as well... finish your meal/snack with an ice cream dessert... soft or hard, your choice! Located right if Rt 78 exit/entrance in Hellertown PA...
Vassi's is just old fashioned Americana. Burgers, hot dogs, gyros, fries - all so very good. Have not had a bad meal yet and the price is perfect. I wish they were closer.
