New to the area, I had been misinformed that this was essentially a fast food establishment with unhealthy choices.
I am glad I decided to try it and have been back. The food is high quality and there are healthy choices.
And, for those who choose to indulge, there is ice cream and hot dogs, too
I have been eating their house salad with grilled chicken. It's superb.

I love this place. Truly a hidden gem just off Rt 78 in Hellerton Pa. They have several picnic tables out front and indoor seating in back. The people there are always friendly and helpful.
Here is the secret they have one of the best Gyros you can find. You would not expect it here. They are large stuffed with meat onion lettuce tomatoes and tzaiki sauce. Everything about it is top notch.
I give the atmosphere 3 stars only because it's right off the street but go inside and you step back in time small town America.

My son and I were visiting Lehigh and needed somewhere we could get something quick. Vassi’s came up on Google maps and had good reviews so we gave it a shot. Initially as we walked in I noticed how clean it was then we were immediately greeted by a super friendly young. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich but omitted the bun and my son ordered 2 hot dogs. Food is made to order but even with that we didn’t wait too long. It also wasn’t crazy busy at the time we went and they do have a sign that asks patrons to be patient since it is made to order. I took one bite of the chicken and looked at my son and said it was the best chicken I’ve ever had at a take out restaurant. Honestly, I feel like it was far better than any sit down restaurant. It was a sizable portion of chicken that was hot, juicy and tasted great. Not bland or dry like most places. My son said the hot dogs were equally as great and he devoured them in a couple of minutes. The food was just AMAZING. I now see why this place is rated so well. Highly recommend.

Consistently good food, and fairly quick service.
There is a reason its been a Hellertown staple for a long time now.
My son and I just had the Vassi's Patty Melt. It was by far the BEST burger we've ever had. Bread perfect, meat perfect, topings perfect. Totally blown away at how delicious it was. Perfect size too, not feeling stuffed after eating it. No fries required. Wow, this will be my go to when I want a burger.

I pass this place very often and never went in. I decided to stop and glad I did. When dining in you walk in and order and then sit down and they bring your food out. Or u can order up front and sit outside or have it to go. I had a cheesesteak,chili cheese fries and a chocolate milkshake. Everything was soooo good. I will definitely go there again. Thank u
