The place was a bit run down. The guy at the register was nice. The food was outrageously overpriced. $13ish for a burger, $6-7ish for cheese curds, and $5 for a drink. The cheeseburger was really gross. Someone mentioned school cafeteria food tasting, and that’s exactly it. The cheese curds were surprisingly tasty. If the cheeseburger and fries had been hot, I’m sure the taste would have been better. We did appreciate the variety of condiments. The tables were disgusting.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly meals.

Overall we did not enjoy our visit to the Chocolatier. The food is very overpriced. We got the steak and It was very chewy. We also got the Cinnamon Butter Milkshake. It was not worth almost $20. The cake on top tasted stale. Our waitress was very nice. And we enjoyed that the restaurant was close to the park but far enough away from all the noise in the park. If we come back to Hershey Park in the future we will be finding somewhere else to dine.

My family and I are from Hershey and I am so thankful that we did not travel far for such a disappointing meal. I feel bad complaining because the experience had nothing to do with the staff in any way. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food however was so bad that it made me actually want to write a review. I knew going into our reservation that we would be paying theme park prices but not only was the food not worth it it was down right bad. I ordered the Reese's Peanut Butter Crunch Burger. From the description you would imagine a decadent burger worthy of a cheat day. Instead I got wet halved peanuts on a toasted bun with a tablespoon of jam that was sticky in a way that said "I have been sitting all day". The sweet potato fries on the burger tasted like they had been floating in the pool of a fryer for a week. My husband got BLT Flatbread. He handed me a tomato and said "tell me if this is weird". It was somehow sweet and sour at the same time. He ended up eating a half of the most edible thing at the table which was the Chocolatetown Burger which was dry. I will not be going back or recommending it to anyone. I would have been fine paying $20 for a burger if it was in anyway exciting or memorable like the descriptions promise. I would suggest eating themed foods in the park. We could have spent just as much on some of the Halloween snacks and had a much better time.

We are never disappointed by this restaurant!!! The staff is always amazing and really makes it a great experience! The food is great and it is the one place my daughter cleans her plate!!! Highly recommend

This was our second time dining at The Chocolatier and we loved the casual vibe, as well as creative cocktails and food! I recommend the Hershey's (with a kiss garnish) and Reese's martinis, as well as the grilled shrimp street tacos and Fast Break chicken sandwich! If you have room for dessert, definitely try the Toasted Cheesecake (basically a S'mores cheesecake)! Our waiter was also attentive and friendly!

We love this restaurant. The staff is pleasant and polite. They offered to sit us early while we waited for the rest of our party. Our waiter was knowledgeable on the menu. The food was delicious

We had eaten here 2 nights before and had an excellent meal. Last night there were 5 of us and had good service from the male server. The food was excellent again. However, the food bringer girl dropped a couple plates - knocking over water and wine glasses, soaking us. The restaurant's response was feeble. Couple of sorries but then it took a while to get a couple of towels and we had to ask for more napkins and replacement of spilled wine. No, manager intervention, no “we'll give you a dress on us”. Not great feeling when we left.

Our server was fabulous. She became our server after they realized that we had been seated and no one had taken our drink order yet. It only took about 10 minutes. We ordered the ferris wheel appetizer. It's a bit pricy but it's fun. That only took about 45 minutes to come out. Again, our server was fabulous. She brought us pretzel bites while we waited and the comped the sampler. Our meal came shortly after the appetizer! My son ordered his burger medium. It came well done. At this point we had already been sitting there for over an hour and didn't want to bother the poor server with another mishap of our food. The short ribs are delicious. But the salad by son's girlfriend ordered was a little on the bland side. We love the atmosphere and the food is pretty good, so we'll definitely be back. Just wished they could figure the issues and fix them.

Absolutely AMAZING! The food from Apps to Desserts beyond the imagination. We try to go to Hershey every year to celebrate our anniversary. Each year as we leave we say we should go there. Well for our 24th Anniversary..Surprise our daughter made reservations. Chocolate definitely goes with everything!!

The food is expensive but for the price it's not worth it. If you just want the experience, ok. But the chocolate BBQ is NOT good at all . The dip for pretzels ? nasty. An the corn dip why are y'all playing with the food.. my son enjoyed his impossible burger. Service was great tho if the food can catch up with the service. The chicken tenders was just regular nothing special about it. The bbq chocolate sauce nasty u can definitely taste the chocolate now for someone who is high maybe ok with this.but no no no . Wish I could get my money back maybe the manager can send me my money back at this request. The food was just nasty. The ferris wheel food that is I would definitely love a refund immediately.

The food not the best but it's an experience. I did discover that I really liked the burger that had thick bacon with chocolate dusted potato chips. The wings are great tasting with honey bbq chocolate sauce though cooked me cooked longer. Also, they could have been hotter for as long as we waited.

Way too loud (which is understandable for a restaurant right next to Hersheypark, but still...) and unnecessarily long wait for all the food to arrive to our table. Again, it was busy but not packed (there were at least 4-5 empty tables around us), so I can't understand why the food took close to 40 minutes to come out. Was it a good time? Yes. Was the food good and with a hint of chocolaty playfulness? Absolutely. Would I dine again here? Probably. But now I know to plan accordingly, so that none of us get to the hangry point while waiting for the food to arrive.

I'm giving 5 stars for the service because our server went above and beyond to make our experience as pleasant as possible, despite some major issues. While we were seated promptly at our reservation time, we waited 15 minutes to place our order, which was understandable given the pre-concert rush at Hershey Stadium. However, it took 35 minutes for our drinks from the bar to arrive, and by then, our food—cold chicken nachos and a pepperoni flatbread with greasy pepperoni—had already been served. Our server was very attentive and brought us extra warm queso to help with the nachos, but the kitchen and bar were clearly struggling. Our server should not have to apologize over and over. Considering concerts are planned well in advance, the large crowd should not have been a surprise. He added a discount to our check, we never asked and assured him we knew the issues were out of his control. We've always looked forward to dining at The Chocolatier before concerts at Hersheypark, but after this experience, we might take a break from it for a while.
