The food is extremely overpriced--arguably worse than airport pricing-- and is nearly inedible. Stick to staples like muffins and other pastries and the only thing that will hurt is your wallet. The one good thing is that your interaction with the overworked, disaffected staff will be blissfully short.

Not called cocoa beanery anymore, but decent fare if you can't afford $800 a night to stay at the crazy overpriced Hershey hotel

What is it with large corporations and the lack of signage? Since we're not staying on site and wanted to visit this coffee shop, it was VERY hard to find. After driving all over the complex (thank you GPS) & having to turn around twice due to dead-ends, we ended up parking behind the hotel in the hotel parking, where it looked like everyone needed parking permits... but an employee said we'd be fine to park there and gave us directions to the coffee shop inside. It was a bit difficult to find from that side, even with his directions, as once again NO signs. They had plenty of signs for locating your building and room... so why wouldn't they add signs for finding food and getting more $$ out of their patrons?? Once we finally found it with the hope of not being towed, we also saw where the main parking was - a HUGE lot out front. The service inside was great. They even had gluten-free blueberry muffins that were so good I almost wolfed it down before getting a photo. Fluffy and moist... not a brick or dry like most GF baked goods. They had other GF baked goods listed as well, but none were in stock. Hubs got a breakfast sandwich that he said was really good. We both got mochas - his was supposed to be iced and they made it hot (happens a lot, actually), but it was "fine"... Mine was basically a melted Reese's cup and OMG. Hands down one of THE BEST coffees I've EVER had. We will definitely be back... this time in the correct parking lot! ‍

Stayed a Hotel Hershey for two nights. We loved visiting Hershey Park, but I wish we had set aside more time to enjoy the hotel! The dining was teriffic and varied, the grounds were gorgeous and sophisticated, and there was so much to do. Next time we're spending a day at the hotel to go hiking and visit the Gardens and the Story Museum.

Beautiful hotel. Very well kept grounds. Staff was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Spa was gorgeous and relaxing. My boys (14, 15 and 16) absolutely loved it. We had an inter-connecting room. We/they loved the freedom of roaming the hotel and grounds with zero worry of not being safe. Many activities to choose from. We especially loved the pools. We reserved a cabana, which was worth it. However, it would be nice to have wait staff tend the cabanas with food and drink. The staff deliver but do not take your order. You have to go to food window, wait online to place an order. For the money being spent, we should not have to wait on-line. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time. Our room was a king sized bed with an interconnecting 2 Queen room. Our room A/C did not work well but the queen room did. I was told during booking that air conditioning/rooms are newer in the west tower. We had requested that area but was not accommodated. Food: breakfast at Cingular was ok. Harvest for dinner was ok. Trevi for dinner was ok. Room service food was just ok. Poolside food was pretty good. Iberian lounge was awesome. Great vibe and drinks. Next time we will drive 5 min into downtown for breakfast/dinner options. During your stay, you should definitely take advantage of Hershey Gardens across the street - it was beautiful, especially in summer when in full bloom. Overall, we had a great stay. Our kids loved it. We will definitely return!!

Wow! I am from PA and have been to Hershey for so many sporting events and concerts etc. I have never ventured to the hill to stay at the Hershey Hotel. What a beautiful experience! The flowers all over outside and well maintained grounds are the first upscale experience I encountered. The lobby changes the flowers everyday. There’s staff everywhere cleaning, asking if you need help, and overall helpful and polite! There is so much to do here for kids and adults. I didn’t come with children but wow, I wish I had brought them years ago to experience the daily activities and pools. Don’t have children? Well just go to the side pool that is reserved for adults while children play in main pool. The spa is absolutely a must if you are into massages: the robes alone and attention to detail was outstanding. 3 hiking trails right out the front door were relaxing while the husbands golfed. The food and drinks at Harvest were wonderful! The flower garden and butterfly conservatory was peaceful. And if that’s not enough, you get a full sized candy bar as you check in (one for each guest) and there are candy kiss bowls literally everywhere. I would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you, Dyan

I had never been to the Hotel Hershey or Hershey Park before and after this recent stay I am sorry that I had not. The Hotel Hershey is an upscale hotel that does not disappoint. Everything about the hotel was immaculate. The service, food, shops, grounds, gardens, etc. were beyond expectations. As expected, Hershey park was crowded...Saturday in the summer...but the wave pool and lazy river were disgusting and overcrowded. No fault of the park, the people were disgusting...leaving trash everywhere, no respect for others...I have had a better water park experience in a third world country. Once the water park was quickly experienced and we returned to the main park our experience improved. There were lines and next time I will purchase fast pass (did not know it existed until arriving) but everyone had a great time. If you are a roller coaster fan then you will not be disappointed. We are planning a return trip for Halloween.

The Hotel Hershey certainly lives up to its name and legacy. The entire hotel is gorgeous and the ambience takes you back in time to its nostalgic roots. Always walking around to smiling staff members who are more than willing to assist in anyway possible. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and well deserved vacation. Just a stones throw away from Hersheypark and Chocolate World, you can't beat the complimentary shuttle service the resort offers.

I hate to write reviews like this, but I bring my family here at least 2x a year for 5-7 days. We always book a suite or rent an entire cottage. This time I was so disgusted with the quality of this once beautiful hotel with amazing service! The rooms/common areas are tired and worn and smell musty. The lights in my room were constantly flickering, the door didn’t close properly, and the staff isn’t as friendly or accommodating as they once were. I heard lots of talk among staff members about looking for new jobs in a different union, witnessed valet guys bickering, etc. The one bus to the park was leaking water from the air conditioning unit so bad it was like a faucet was turned on… What really set me off was the lack of basic service. This visit I booked the “high point suite” at a rate of 1, 365 /night. Well, in 5 nights, my room was serviced 2.5 times (.5 because housekeeping seemingly left in a rush one day because it was half done). I requested towels that weren’t delivered over those 3 occurrences and they were delivered once - 45 min later! No nightly then down service with chocolates any more, towels they give you are worn and had holes in quite a few!!!! Seriously, Hershey- what is going on here??? Furthermore, there are quiet hours from 9pm to 8am posted around but not enforced. So I was subject to intoxicated guests at a function one evening till late at night and then the workers cleaning up with what sounded like carts being pushed into walls that continued throughout the night until 5am!!! Other drunk people arguing and slamming doors…. I have never experienced such a thing at the Hotel Hershey! I approached management about my concerns and got the canned responses “thank you for bringing this to our attention, we’ll discuss with that department” and a $200 credit on my account. This is more insulting, because all I wanted was my room freshened up - not looking for a discount!! At the very least, the first time my room was skipped, they should’ve cleaned it and flagged my account. The next day, we received no towels and after 2 calls to the front desk, still nothing delivered. I then borrowed from a friend in another room since housekeeping was apparently gone… then to happen a third time is completely unacceptable! I’m certain holiday inn can do better than this! Mistakes happen, but after being at the park all day and to return to a dirty room and no towels to shower up for dinner is utter nonsense. Never stay in this suite as it is right by the common restaurant and conference room space which holds events late with no doors to block any noise and on the other side is the elevator which dings incessantly with guests leaving the events. The room also smells terribly like food cooking (maybe over a kitchen) and the door doesn’t close properly without giving an extra tug (2x returned to an open door!) And the management is indifferent to any of these concerns. All in all the prices charged are no longer commensurate with the level of amenities received.

I hate to pile on, but yes, recent reviews are true. This once lovely resort is really showing its age and is in desperate need of a major renovation. Rooms were always okay, way overpriced for what you fet, but the grounds, main areas, and service kind of made up for the price along with the nostalgia. This time, room in horrible shape. The toilet was broken, furniture was all scratched, stains on the carpet, bed sagging. Really unacceptable, but kind of expected given our recent stays. What was unexpected was the shape of the common areas. Like the rooms, the lobby, both main and Fountain, were worn and tired. The Iberian Lounge, a favorite of us, was hard to relax when dealing musty smell and worn furniture. I hope this place gets its act together for its centennial celebration just 10 years away. I would love to see this place restored to the grander that it once was. And with all due respect, who is monitoring these reviews please do not extend an offer for me to contact guest relations (been there, done that with nothing changing). Please take your energy and convince heads at Hershey Entertainment to get this renovation project underway. In the meantime, I’ll be searching for lodging elsewhere.

I wish they would contact guests for reviews instead of taking things to social media but here we are. I’m gonna go on my rant with the good and bad and how it might be improved. Here goes. I stayed for 2 nights at the Hershey Hotel on the first weekend in July 2023. This has become an annual trip for my son who plays in a 2-day sports tournament at various nearby locations over the weekend. This was my first time at the Hershey Hotel after staying at the Hershey Lodge for 2 years. While I consider it an upgrade from the Lodge, for what we paid, I expected much more. My son and I got a room with a king bed. Even with only the two of us it was very small—king bed, desk against the wall, small closet and dresser with a TV, mini fridge, coffee maker, a bench seat, and that was it. The single sink and toilet in the bathroom was adequate, but the shower very tight - while bathing my arms hit the tile and glass on either side. I told my son it was the T-Rex shower, because my arms could only extend out so far. I opened the bathroom window but wasn't able to get the latch to close so it stayed cracked open for the duration of our visit. The furniture and decor was faded and dated, the carpet grungy enough to make me anxious when barefoot. Not a big deal, and they offered to fix it, but the room phone didn't work. Signing up for their text messaging came in handy here and for general questions. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean. Check in was easy, and everyone working there, from the desk to pool lifeguards were very friendly, accommodating, and attentive to their jobs. Valet was free (unless you're cheap and don't tip) but parking plentiful regardless. One thing I didn't like is that you weren't allowed to use one of the baggage carts on your own - they "belonged" to the hotel staff. I'd rather port my own bags to move around after a long-ish drive, but carts are off limits - kinda ridiculous. Also ridiculous were some events at the outdoor pool. Friends and I were told by 3 staffers going from guest to guest at the pool that my aluminum can that I purchased at the pool bar had to be poured into a plastic cup. OK, but this was only on Saturday - on Friday cans were fine. Huh? It took guests between 30 and 45 minutes to get 4 beers at the outdoor pool - and this persisted for hours - unacceptable imo. The pool was fine - had 2 slides and very shallow throughout but my son had fun with his friends and teammates. Cabanas were available to rent. Lifeguards have a tough job but did well imo making sure there was no horseplay and the kids stayed safe. There were some shallower areas and a small splash park area for little ones, plus an adult only pool (which they did police for those under 18 to get out) and off of that a hot tub. Good size area overall, but again dated and the service times were awful. I did get a pathetic sandwich at the pool for $17 bucks - I think they forgot to put meat on it - also paid extra $3 for fries (chips were free though) and there were maybe 30 fries total. The poolside refrigerated Hershey bars for $2.50 was another money grab - don’t you make the chocolate here? Pretty sad - this is a 4-star hotel, really? We also got room service one night, which was OK, simple stuff with a $3 delivery charge, +18% gratuity, so a hot dog, pasta, and sandwich was around $50-60. When the dining table was wheeled into the room our space was officially maxed out - haha! There were other restaurants on site we did not try as they were either full or had long waits. We did use transportation from the hotel to Hershey World which was clean and efficient. The hotel itself is high up on a hill - nice surrounding views, unique design, and super close to the park. There is a room on the second floor that is very unique - sort of Mediterranean influenced with curved archways, palms, grand piano, etc. Weddings churned out of the ballroom next to it throughout our stay. We didn't go to the gardens but they are very close as well. The outdoor grounds have some crumb

Very disappointed in the Hershey Hotel. The room was dated and the carpet felt damp in areas. The pool closed at 4 on a dreary day when there were many families there who were trying to entertain their toddlers. Not everyone is in Hershey to go to the park, so when you pay that much money for a resort experience, all parts of the facility should bend over backwards to accommodate people no matter what kind of weather.

We stayed in the Woodside Cottages which was overall a nice stay. For the amount of money we paid per night, we wish that we could have slept better but the family above us had children running around non-stop. It seems like the buildings should have been built for concealing sound better. Or consideration could have been given to keep a couple upstairs vs under a family. Especially since it seemed like there was plenty of cottages available. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were great. Overall the hotel has quaint charm but is very dated and not in a sweet historic way. Glad we tried it but will look for something more aligned with the price next time.
