This place was absolutely disgusting. Had I taken a picture of my plate, it would’ve shut this place down entirely. For $20/plate, we should’ve just done the breakfast buffet at Fire & Grain in the main Lodge lobby. My veggie omelet had some sort of nasty, spindley, spaghetti type “mushroom” bottoms in it. I nearly threw up and the omelet was loaded with it. I had only two actual mushrooms (caps) in the entire thing. When I presented this to Ashlyn, she tried to explain to me that their mushrooms were exotic. Are you kidding me? What an insulting comment to make. She wasn’t listening or looking at the plate itself. I wasn’t referring to the mushroom caps; the evidence was obvious on the plate. Next time, Ashlyn, listen, look, and acknowledge a nasty food ingredient when it’s pointed out to you. Then, our waitress Heather was rude, on top of it. What a terrible way to start our day at Hershey. Jeanette, the hostess, is quite pleasant, but she’s unfortunately oblivious to the awful food being served here. I’d advise Hershey Incorporated to shut this hole down and start anew. Rebrand it, get new management, ensure better ingredients that warrant $20/plate, and set a culture of pleasantness among the wait staff.

Unique flavors. Great food! Will definitely be back. They have breakfast the whole time they’re open. We are foodies and we’re very impressed. Prices were reasonable for the quality and presentation. Just try them out!

Excellent dining! Loved the breakfast menu. Be sure to try the bacon deviled eggs and the candied bacon.

Savy, our server was great and very attentive. The restaurant was nice with a retro flair.

I had an omelette and my wife had the fried green tomato Benedict. Excellently made and plating was excellent.

I regret not eating here more often during our vacation. You have to give this place a shot!

Hershey Lodge promises a memorable stay in the heart of Hershey, but my experience left much to be desired. While there are certainly some positives, several critical shortcomings mean I cannot recommend this property. Check-In and Restaurants Upon arrival, the check-in area immediately sets a positive tone. Staff are welcoming and efficient, and the lobby space is well maintained—an inviting start to the stay. The on-site restaurants also stand out as a major plus. The food quality is solid, the variety is impressive, and service is attentive, adding an enjoyable aspect to the overall experience. Rooms and Hallways Unfortunately, the impression quickly declines once you move beyond the public spaces. The guest rooms and hallways feel extremely dated, with décor and carpeting reminiscent of a funeral home—somber and uninviting. Externally, the building’s appearance evokes the look of section 8 housing rather than a resort, which is both disappointing and misleading based on the lobby’s first impression. The contrast between the common areas and the accommodations themselves is stark. Location and Shuttle Service Prospective guests should be aware that Hershey Lodge is located over two miles from Hersheypark. While the hotel does offer a shuttle, transportation is far from convenient. With traffic, the ride can take up to 45 minutes, although typical travel time hovers around 20 minutes. At peak times—especially at park closing or first thing in the morning—waits for the shuttle can extend to 20-30 minutes. This logistical inconvenience adds unnecessary stress to what should be a relaxing visit. Additional Concerns My room was situated directly outside the designated smoking area, which meant that each evening was accompanied by the distinct smell of smoke drifting into the room. To make matters worse, conversations from smokers gathered outside continued well past midnight, disrupting any hope of restful sleep. Overall Impression While Hershey Lodge may boast appealing common spaces and good dining options, the dated and uninspiring rooms, inconvenient location, and noise/smoke issues overshadow these positives. Based on my experience, I can only give Hershey Lodge a 2-star rating. I would not recommend staying here, especially considering the many alternatives available in the area.

Variety of options was fantastic. Monte Cristo was the best I've had since Bennigans days

The bed has no fitted sheet, instead they use a regular sheet and it's not long enough to tuck it in. All night long the sheet will move and expose the plastic mattress pad. Spoke to the staff and I was told there is nothing they could do. 2700 dollars for 6 nights and they cant afford a fitted sheet.

Absolutely the worst food I've have ever had, extremely greasy and me sick.

Second time we've been here and food was fabulous. Our waitress took extra care as my husband is in a wheelchair. Will definitely be back

Food was very good . Service was slow, inattentive and not particularly friendly

Food is pretty low quality for a high quality price. The mismatch doesn’t make sense. Food tastes mediocre but presentation and quality is pretty poor.

Food is very overpriced for what you get

Had brunch with the family and grandkids. The omelets were tasty and large. Pancakes did not disappoint. And the adult beverages were good as well. Good value.
