Staff was warm and welcoming. The place wasn't overly packed as we got there around 4ish, but filled up quickly as the dinner hour got closer. The menu was full of good option, the host and waitress were patient and kind as we navigated ordering for our pickier kids. The pricing was spot on for good BBQ, and food came out quick. Hell, even the pot-o-potty (albeit a little inconvenient) was one of the cleanest and nicest smelling that I've ever been in. 😅 Anyway, couldn't recommend it enough.

The owner supports Trump, but then cries online that his business is down, because Trump and DOGE shut down campgrounds around his shop that affects his business. Cry harder. I expect this place to go out of business within a year. Oh well.

Kris was very helpful with planning my order from their catering menu. The food was ready at the prescribed time and well packaged for transport. I was grateful that they were able to accommodate a same day change in pick-up time (pushed an hour later). Would definitely use them again.

Backwoods supplied food for our family reunion at Raystown Resort. We were about 70 adults. I cook and eat my fair share of BBQ, this was good. The brisket and (smoked) mac and cheese were incredible. Highly recommend. Can't wait to check out their ribs. Thanks for a great meal.

Stopped for lunch today and our food was fantastic. We especially loved the smoked Mac and cheese! Yum!! Service was great and everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend.

Great spot for Ribs and BBQ. It is family run business. They are very kind and attentive. Waitress Amy was very good as well. Definitely worth a stop.

Best smoked bbq around. Owners are amazing and staff is amazing! Brian is amazing at what he does. The piggy Mac is my absolute favorite.

The best Brisket around, the smokey Mac n Cheese is great, and add Brisket to it and it's a Moo Mac and it's the Bomb. Laid back atmosphere with dog friendly outdoor dining, heck they give my pups Brisket Everytime we come, which is once a week. Well worth the 45 min drive.

Backwoods is the word! This place is literally out in the middle of the mountains. Food was excellent! We tried the platter which had chicken, brisket, and pulled pork. We also had a dozen wings- honey garlic, sauce is very good! Definitely worth the try!!
