We were well pleased to be taken as a late brunch table this past Sunday. A former local suggested we go there after a youth hockey game without the understanding that they closed at 1pm. We were seated outside on perhaps the last 78 degree day of the year and as a result of them seating us so late we had the patio to ourselves. Everyone was well pleased with their food choices and we enjoyed being outside and together on the lovely patio.
I used to take myself out to lunch all the time, but after two years of being with my partner, I’m so used to doing everything with them. Today was the first time I took myself to lunch and almost 2 1/2 years. It was really nerve-racking, but my waiter and new trainee were extremely welcoming! We dined here at Benjamin’s last evening (Friday, August 1st) and were served by Joey. It was a pretty busy Friday night, but that did not affect our service one bit. I had the Maple Whiskey Salmon and it was divine. There were beautiful flowers around and the atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxing. We had conversation with Joey like we’ve been friends for years! It was a great experience. We will definitely be returning.
