I drive 45 minutes to go to Teerak at least once a month. Their food is amazing! I have had Thai food all over the country … DC, New York, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Chicago, Denver, LA, San Francisco, Seattle. Teerak matches up or bests any places I have had Thai food before! My first impression is always made by the soup, and their Tom Ka is fantastic! They never disappoint and the owners are just the sweetest, nicest people! I love giving them my business and enjoying their delicious...
This is a great option for an area with such limited vegan options. The food was alright. The staff we spoke to over the phone perfectly understood veganism, and we were able to order spring rolls, mixed vegetables, and fried rice. Unfortunately, our fried rice had egg in it, despite us having asked for it without, and they refunded us for it.
Absolutely THE BEST Tom Yum soup I’ve ever had. And I’ve had lots. Ordered it with a spice level of 10 - and they made it an American 10, but it was still excellent.
The Penang curry, on the other hand, was just meh. It was also supposed to be a ten, but barely registered an American 4.
But they still get 5 stars for the Tom Yum soup alone.
