We had an awesome take out catering experience with gato! We had an event for approximately 30 guests, some of which with strict food allergies and dietary restrictions, and everyone loved the taco bar. Gato was so helpful with answering all of our questions for the order and was careful to prepare allergy items separately to avoid cross contamination. Would highly recommend them for catering!

Corn tacos with crispy chicken is not good. I was hoping for street tacos with a softer corn shell. These cracked. Our waitress forgot to give us straws and napkins. Also, one of the songs that came on had a foul cuss word. Not impressed.

In the past we've enjoyed this restaurant. However, the service was not great (has always been marginal), some of our food cold & when we told our waitress she replied that she was not responsible for what went on in the kitchen. The wait time to get our food was crazy (they were very busy). We def won't go back for a while 😖🙄

Food was good. Server was nice. However, service slow. Waited about an hour for an appetizer then the tacos took longer. The drink my husband got was incorrect but they covered it. Would give them a try again.

My husband and I stopped in today after I saw the menu online and it looked interesting. My husband and I are tequila connoisseurs and with their list it looked inviting. Wish we would have read these reviews first, possibly would have opted out. The place was dirty, the table was scrubby and sticky and the food was so so. My drink was very good, however I would have enjoyed it more, if there wasn’t an entire bag of ice in it. Very expensive which I get if the ambiance is offered. Definitely no ambiance here, feels like a set for an after school special No Mexican employees or music, the music that was playing was just awful. Will never return.

Went today for the first time. Food was fantastic.. Service was terrible, and the restaurant doesn’t care to hear about it. I ordered a $9 mini tacos app. Description says it comes with a dozen (12) mini tacos.. it came with 6.. server didn’t care when I mentioned it AT ALL! I looked at their FB page and they had just recently posted a gripe about customers stealing their glasses and how they were going to resort to serving drinks into the customers hands from now on
to which I posted a witty remark stating “ you must be trying to make up for the cost by shorting your appetizers” the restaurant deleted my comment. So I left them a FB review
now I’m blocked. Bad business ethics. 100% would not recommend!

The food was delicious. Just had service/business. Menu says mini tacos come a dozen for $9
. We got 6 on our order, and the server didn’t seem to care about the issue. I saw the restaurant posted about their patrons stealing their glasses
making a joke about them having to serve into peoples hands or something if they don’t stop stealing them. So I commented
with the same “wit” saying they must be trying to make up for the cost by shorting their app orders and outlining my personal experience
.. they deleted my comment. Good food
. Poor service

Went there with the family. Not good. The rice in my burrito was way under cooked or burnt. Nothing like hard pellets of rice to crunch on! The shredded beef was dry and near tasteless. The tortilla chips had an odd flavor. There was three of us and all were disappointed. Overall it was subpar.

I use to be a big fan of this place, but things have gone down hill, service and food are getting bad, the final straw for me was the $2 surcharge on take out, could not find it listed anywhere on the website, it just seems dishonest, what a shame this place use to be pretty good.I get times are tough, but I don't steal $2 from every person I meet.

Food was good but portion size is small. A bowl was a 3rd of the size you get at Chipotle and the taste was not much different. They charge extra for items is a bit ridiculous. You order chips and salsa but they bring you just a little bit of salsa, then you ask for more salsa and they charge you $4.00. At least you get free drink refills on soda, surprised they did not charge me.

I ask to sit where I could watch a TV. 2 televisions, 1 had their menu and their ads and the other television showed the cable guide my entire dinner.

What an amazing taco place! It took us a while to use our giftcard from Christmas, but we've been back 3x within 3 weeks. Their tacos are absolutely amazing!!!!

I'm enjoying working through the different tacos offered. So far the Willie Nelson has been my favorite. I haven't had flavors like that since Korea. Thank you for the amazing food. We will be back for sure, and have been telling all our friends about this place. Dont miss out!

1-Star Review: Gato Taco – An Expensive Lunchable with a Side of Regret

If you’ve ever wanted to experience what it’s like to eat a $14 Lunchable at a table that doubles as a fly trap—look no further than Gato Taco.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place hadn’t seen a cleaning rag since the day it opened. The windows and doors were so filthy they looked like a toddler’s finger-painting project
done entirely in grease. The table? Sticky enough to warrant a hazmat team. When the waitress finally brought us napkins (after we had to ask), they ripped on contact. That’s how bad it was.

No plates for appetizers? Naturally. Gato Taco offers the full “raw table experience.” The quesadillas were thinner than a CVS receipt and filled with
well, not much. Maybe a single slice of cheese and a whisper of effort.

But the real kicker? Their “specialty” tacos were literally frozen chicken nuggets—yep, the kind you’d find in a bulk bag at Sam’s Club—microwaved, slapped on a 2-inch tortilla, and given a squirt of sauce like that somehow made it fine dining. It wasn’t a taco—it was a cry for help. Imagine a Lunchable
 but sadder, and inexplicably $14.

They were also out of coffee during dinner (??), gave us kids menus with no crayons, and had to search the restaurant to find some. It took a while, but they eventually returned with two. The sad part? The crayons had more flavor than the food. If I’d taken a bite of one, I’m confident it would’ve had a stronger spice profile than that nugget taco.

I don’t know how this place is still open. Maybe it’s an undercover art piece on disappointment. Maybe it’s a social experiment. Either way, I’d rather eat a real Lunchable in a parking lot than ever go back.
