Love me some Tex-mex and Gato never disappoints! I always look forward to their seasonal/holiday menu items and drinks. I dream about their nachos, street corn bites, and mahi tacos. Love their brunch menu too! Great vibe and the staff are always friendly!

I’ve eaten here several times and the food & service were always fantastic. On Sunday (2/23) I took my family there for brunch, 4 adults + a toddler. Our waiter was wonderful, everything else about the experience was completely outrageous & we’ll never return! After ordering our food at 1:20 pm, we were informed that they shut the fryer down to clean and our orders would all have to be changed… they were out of bacon and several other things you’d assume to get at a “brunch” that was advertised until 2pm and couldn’t cook a variety of things due to the fryer now being down. So, we ordered different meals. As we are waiting and trying to talk, they were setting up for a private party RIGHT BESIDE where we were seated and kept popping helium balloons. It was so loud, inappropriate and startled all of us everytime it happened. After asking them to stop, the female employee stormed past us, stomping her feet and went to the bar area yelling and complaining about us. The male employee began scolding us saying they had to decorate for a private event and we were problem customers, he got very confrontational & extremely rude. On a side note, our family hosts events and parties at different restaurants and venues all the time with balloon arches, we are ALWAYS asked to decorate the night before or morning of, NEVER when customers are dining. Staff was so unprofessional and rude and just outrageous. We paid for what we’d received, tipped our waiter well and couldn’t run out of there fast enough.

I’ve been here a few times and can say this is my favorite local Mexican restaurant by far. The rice bowls were always really good but recently I started getting the nachos. Believe me when I say these are the best nachos I have had in my life. I have been doing the street corn nachos while adding barbacoa and guacamole on top and for the price you really can not beat this at all. The ingredients and taste are all perfect as well as a massive potion that can easily feed 2-3. Service is always great and atmosphere is comfy. I don’t ever write food reviews on here but I just felt like I had to for this. Great job!
