I was really looking forward to checking this place out, given it has a long history and positive reviews. This was hands down the worst ice cream I've had in quite some time. Everything looked artificial colored (really bright unappetizing colors), and everything tasted artificial too. I gave up after a few samples and picked something that I didn't really enjoy. I'd like to think maybe it was just the things I tried, but.... nothing really looked good, especially...
My husband I are traveling through PA on our way back home to VA and stopped in for a sweet treat. His pineapple upside down cake and almond butter scotch ice cream were delicious and exactly what he was expecting when he ordered them. My mocha toffee crunch on the other hand was very disappointing. There was no toffee or coffee flavor or chips to be found. Only chocolate flavored ice cream and chocolate chips. Not sure why it wasn't just called chocolate chocolate chip....
The ice cream was great with big portions and lots of fun flavors. The service was fast and friendly. They've got it down to a science even on a busy night. And the mini golf was a fun way to wrap up the evening. It was a well maintained green and had a fun water hazard. We'll be back!
