Brooklyn's Lobster Shack: A Memorable Feast with a Few SurprisesEmbarking on a dining journey at Brooklyn's Lobster Shack is akin to setting sail for a coastal escapade, right in the heart of the city. This culinary lighthouse not only beckons with its boardwalk vibes and seaside decor but also with a menu that promises a tantalizing array of dishes. Each visit is an opportunity to dive into flavors that resonate with the soulful tunes of reggae and ska, set against an ambiance that effortlessly conjures the spirit of the sea.Our culinary voyage was heralded by a steak that was nothing short of exemplary—a testament to the chef's mastery, delivering a perfectly crusted, medium-rare delight accompanied by impeccably prepared potatoes and asparagus. Similarly, the king crab legs, while presenting an unexpected twist in size, closer to their snow crab counterparts than the king crab legs of yore, were nonetheless prepared with a finesse that allowed their natural flavors to shine, paired with a butter dip that was the epitome of classic seafood accompaniments. The journey continued with a few bumps along the road, notably the seafood fries which, despite their generous and flavorsome toppings, were let down by fries that lingered on the undercooked side of the spectrum. The pasta, however, stood out for its generosity, not just in portion but in the promise of a meal that kept on giving, ensuring a delightful encore from the comfort of one's home.Service at Brooklyn's Lobster Shack deserves a standing ovation—our server navigated our evening with grace and attentiveness, especially in making our youngest diner feel welcomed and cherished. This level of service, coupled with the restaurant's inviting atmosphere, adds layers of warmth to the dining experience.A practical piece of advice for those planning a visit: securing a reservation is a wise move, as this gem is no secret to the food-loving public. Additionally, considering the challenge of limited parking, a bit of pre-visit planning can ensure your focus remains on the culinary adventure that awaits. While the steak dazzled with its preparation, it was somewhat let down by a cut that bore more fat and gristle than expected for its price point. Salad enthusiasts, take note: the dressing comes generously, so opting for it on the side might be a prudent choice to tailor the dish to your liking. Our dessert endeavor, the strawberry scooter, though envisioned as a sweet culmination, unfortunately didn't hit the mark, with its overly thick frosting and a scarcity of fresh strawberries and cake leaving something to be desired.Despite these few missteps, the dining experience at Brooklyn's Lobster Shack remains a testament to the value and joy of eating out. The ambiance, service, and majority of the dishes offer a seaside retreat without leaving the city, complete with all the flavors and warmth one could wish for in a dining experience. In summary, Brooklyn's Lobster Shack is a beacon for those seeking culinary adventures, offering a blend of delightful flavors, exceptional service, and an atmosphere that transports you straight to the coast. It's a reminder that while the perfection of a home-cooked meal has its charms, the experience of dining out, with all its nuances and surprises, is irreplaceable. Brooklyn's Lobster Shack is a celebration of good food, great company, and the enduring appeal of seaside dining.

i never leave bad reviews however this was the worst seafood i ever had in my life. i could not even eat the shrimp cocktail as it was tiny, slimy & rubbery. the Waitstaff was very nice & the Lobster Bisque was good. However the menu was severely overpriced & not worthy of it. If ur looking for excellent seafood at this price point, go to Coast & Maine. very disappointing.

Had a 5:00 p.m. reservation on a Sunday. They close at 6 p.m. on Sunday's. I was worried that we'd feel rushed but we weren't at all. Everyone enjoyed their food. The portions are so huge, actually everyone could have eaten off of one entree. Everyone bought something different so we were all able to taste a variety of different foods that everyone at our table ordered. The waitress was helpful in telling us how to be more cost-effective when we ordered. She explained that since my cousin bought the Tomahawk steak entree, that came with two salads, two lobster tails and a boatload of shrimp, that I should only buy the pound of crab legs, instead of the seafood boat. So, big thumbs up to her for saving us some money because there was plenty of food and we were still able to take leftovers home. After reviewing the reviews on this place, their was one comment stuck out about how they didn't like black people here. We felt welcomed and the waitress and patrons were all very pleasant to us. ??‍♀️The place wasn't too crowded, on a Sunday evening, so the waitress wasn't overwhelmed. She was very nice. They serve you complimentary wine and beer, if you want it, in plastic cups. It's not a fancy restaurant but it's clean. Kind of old-fashioned. So don't expect anything fancy as far as the decorum. They only have one bathroom, which they keep clean. I had a very nice experience.Parking: Parking is free and it was plentiful when we went Sunday evening. The restaurant is in a neighborhood, so if it ever gets to the point where you can't fnd a parking space, in the lot, just park along the road.

Very nice experience here. I stopped in with a group of 7, and everything was great including the decor, the cleanliness, the food, and the staff. I had the surf n turf fries, hush puppies, and shrimp. The food does not disappoint, and I definitely had leftovers! Our server was very nice, and she checked on us often for refills and etc.. This was my first time here, but I will be back!

Food was amazing! This was our second visit. I highly recommend the Tomahawk Steak and lobster dinner for two! We added a pound and a half of crab legs. Complimentary draft beer or wine. They had Sam Adams Cold Snap on tap. It was excellent! Wasn't as busy as I thought it would be on Valentine's Day. We did have reservations tho. Our service was ok, not as good as the first time we visited but it was decent. We will definitely be back!!!

Great food in giant proportions. It looks larger than it is due to the mirrors. One bathroom.
