We just moved here. Walked in to ask for a takeout menu. It felt so warm and inviting and the staff behind the counter were so friendly that we decided to stay. Our server Jessica was very welcoming. My wife enjoyed the corned beef special on gluten-free bread. She said it tasted like real deli corned beef. I got a large hunk of Reuben quiche (it was Quiche of the Day) and it was delicious! Large chunks of corned beef, cheesy, and a yummy crust. Definitely going back, so many items in the display case looked tantalizing. This place feels like a hidden gem.

My wife and I recently visited Curds & Whey for breakfast, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! This cozy BYOB café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and the charming atmosphere perfectly complements their inventive menu of salads, sandwiches, and baked goods.
The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and efficient. My wife enjoyed the Western Omelet, paired with a side of fried potatoes that were nothing short of decadent. As for me, I had their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich served on an Amoroso hoagie roll. It was, without question, the most quintessentially Philly breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had—rich, hearty, and bursting with flavor.
If you’re looking for a local gem with fantastic food and a welcoming vibe, Curds & Whey is a must-visit. We’re already planning our next trip to explore more of the menu!

On Sunday August 18th, 2024 I and my bride were married at my apartment.It was followed by a luncheon catered by Curds & Whey. The attention to detail was superb. The chef and the server were wonderful and very attentive. They did more than we expected and left our kitchen very neat and clean. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. All in all, the sit down meal was a most happy, easy and delicious experience. We were totally satisfied and would use Davida and her staff again. Highly recommended.

Davida was a pleasure to collaborate with in designing a menu that would work for various dietary preferences. Julie and Whip, our catering staff, were punctual, professional, and friendly. My friend and I had a 12:30 reservation. We both arrived on time. The restaurant was half full. We waited 20 minutes for our order to to be taken. We waited another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Fortunately we had no other plans for the day. I ordered the Greek Salad which was supposed to include grilled chicken. There was none. My friends grilled cheese was ordinary. We finished our food and after asking for the check twice and waiting another 15 minutes, my friend walked up to the take out counter to pay our bill. Never going back again.

This is the second time I’ve gone to Curds and Whey, but this was the 1st time for takeout. I wish I had taken a picture before I devoured the DELICIOUS Maryellen salad. The honey goat cheese, the homemade maple dressing, the chicken. All of it. My husband watched me eat it once I got home and he said you sure are enjoying that aren’t you!? Maria waited on me and was very attentive, prompt, helpful, and happy … which sometimes you just don’t find.Can’t wait for dinner… I knew what kind of day it was going to be and thought I’m buying dinner! So we will see, but I bet the chicken piccata and the roasted butternut squash with walnuts and craisins are going to totally hit the spot. Definitely would recommend this place.
