Hermans at The Haus (located inside the Human Robot Brewery)

We came actually to eat.The currywurst was great. It had a curry that reminded me of curry fries I had in a London pub. My son devoured the tenders and the freshly very hot, handmade fries on his dish and the currywurst. We ordered two types of pierogies- cheesesteak and potato and cheese. Delicious especially with the toppings except I wasn’t impress with the taste and the paprika oil made things oily. Now, I ordered the dillyschinel ( sub for grilled chicken) and that sauce knocked my socks off! The Brussels sprouts I have dreams about crispy apple and whatever dressing they used. I would prefer less oil but I was blown away. In the same picture was the second best item the spaetzle. The beer cheese is addictive and the onion crumble was a perfect compliment. That beer cheese made me wish we could have tried the beers. Awesome experience - definitely bigger on the inside than it looks out front. I was also taken back that you sit anywhere you what and all ordering is done by qrc code, Including the tipping before you see a server. If you need beer or boxes you can go to bar or to the front attendant. You can see the beer steel barrel behind to bar and multiple tvs play whatever game is on.

Parking: No off street parking. You need to park across the street on greenwood or nearby streets. Alleys behind are not for general public and towing signs are all over.

Kid-friendliness: I travel with an autistic son who hates loud music and yet manages to be the loudest in the room. I visited around 2 on a sunday. There were two couples with infants in car seats and they had the children next to them and it was no bother. Plenty of to isolate away from the bar if you wish. I saw an upstairs loft as well.

Wheelchair accessibility: Since it’s located next to the theater, there is a huge ramp and they do have lots of tables where chairs can be move to accommodate a wheelchair. Unfortunately, there is no parking on the premises the parking located across the street in a paid lot and there’s narrow sidewalks. Did not use the restrooms, but noticed that they were on the main level.

The burgers are really good. I like the wursts, too. The Pickles are my favorite. I wish I could buy them in bulk. There should be an option to order those as a side. My kids like the chicken fingers. They've added some salads to the menu for more variety.

Parking: Restaurant doesn't have its own lot. Plenty of parking in Jenkintown Town Square across the street.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are here all of the time.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to access the building. Bathrooms are on the 1st floor.

Can't say enough about the synergy between The Haus and The Human Robot. The food and beer selections give that kind of central European feel. The Haus' food selections are spot and great takes on German classics.

Found this place from a recommendation from the bar tender at Artifact Brewery. We were looking for someplace new. Enjoyed it.

Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to corn. Most PA made alcohols are made with corn. I was allowed to see the bottles and do searches for ingredients.

The Herman's food is solid - the German sausage was especially good - but they are a very poor value for the portion size. Currywurst was $10 which is 5 bites of sausage, fries, small portion of curry ketchup, and no roll. Kids chicken fingers was 2 tiny pieces of chicken for $10.

just from my experience there the manager angel just seemed very sexist towards women from the things he was saying and he also asked for my cousins (16) number. that just gave me weird vibes. I also heard him being very passive aggressive towards his employees i do not understand what that was about

Like a diamond in the rough, Herman's at the Haus is a gem in the borough of Jenkintown. Their German-American themed menu is superb. Pair that with a handsome brew by Human Robot, the brewery in same building! By scanning a QR code with your phone, you have access to their online menu and place your order that way with payment. While enjoying your brew or company, the food runner will greet you by name on receipt with food. They recently updated their menu with new food items and, did I mention they provide brunch during the weekend? Music included*. It is being in the same building as Human Robot: Jenkintown that allows the overall atmosphere to be spacious and laidback. From high-tops to booths and then tables with - with a second floor available, the seating options are practically for everyone. Including seating at the bar.

Definitely one of the best places to go in the Abington area. The sauces go CRAZY. The schnitzel, brunch sandos, cheese curds, wings, fries, Brussel sprouts!!! Heavenly.I love the sandwich shop in the Philly Human Robot, Poe’s. I was so excited to see what food collab would be happening when I heard a Human Robot was popping up near me. Herman’s did not disappoint!Personally, I really enjoy the QR ordering. You order what you want when you want it, and don’t need to track anyone down to do so. If you need something like silverware, ask them when they bring you your food and they will get it. It’s not rocket science. If you’re looking for a place to eat where you can bully wait staff, go to Applebees down the road.

I was really impressed with my experience here at Herman's at the Haus. The food was impeccable and delicious, and even though I made a human error in ordering (done via QR code/phone, where I thought I clicked a box that I didn't), they were kind enough to remake the dish even though they absolutely did not have to do so. That made a huge difference in my experience, because I wouldn't have been able to eat the dish without the modification. That sort of customer service in the face of customer error is completely unexpected but totally appreciated.

Best pretzels bites ever. Lots of delicious vegetarian options! Great atmosphere. Great service. Highly recommend as a casual place to hang with friends with wonderful food.
