Village Delicatessen of Jenkintown

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese from here as I used to do growing up in Jenkintown. They took over 40 mins to cook a bacon egg and cheese. Proceed to give me a sandwich with raw bacon. When I asked them to fix it I got argued with and told we sell pre cooked bacon. Which is even more foul and disgusting. This place used to sell good real food. Now they sell cheesy fatty, pre cooked bacon then argue with customers after charging 14$ for a precooked sandwich. Do not go here.

Having grown up in Philadelphia, I often say the best cheesesteaks can be found at those unknown corner stores in the (neighbor)hood. The Village Deli brings that great corner store experience in the middle of the block in Jenkintown. I always experience great customer service whether ordering online or in person. The Village Deli is more than a one hit wonder. I have ordered cheesesteaks several times and each time the food quality as been 10 out of 10. In addition, I have also called ahead to pick Western Omelets with cheddar cheese for breakfast on the way to work. The food was ready and very tasty. When you enter the Deli, you can tell the owner takes great pride in cleanliness, organization and customer service. Village Deli - Definitely a place to go.

We’ve been getting hoagies and steaks from the deli for years. The new owners have kept the quality up and added more options. The folks working are always friendly. Love this place for lunches.

Tried this place as I heard it had new
owners.

We tried a few different things, the fries were still raw in the center, the hot dog tasted awful I threw it away after one bite.

The counter person was obviously new and needs training it took a long time to place the order and it had to be corrected several times. The same thing happened to the next customer in line.

It looked like they wear wiping the knives down with a dry rag, not one that had been sanitized.

Would recommend skipping this place entirely.

I used to eat here a while back but quality wasn’t great after a while. Tried it again recently and the new owners know what they are doing. Very happy with my hoagie order and the rolls! Will definitely be going back here!

Everything you could ask of a deli and more! I appreciate seeing a family owned business and black owned at that!! Excellence at its finest! I recommend their shorty hoagie deals! I hope nothing but prosperity for this business! Be wary of negative reviews as there are shiesty people who just hate on local businesses! This place is clean bright and the food is fresh!! Super affordable! Give it a try before you believe the haters ?

I called to order 2 cheese steaks from this place. They said it would be $34. I thought this was a little much, so to double check, I went on their website and ordered, and the price came out to $22. Thats very odd to me and idk why they said $34 on the phone but the price gouging is not appreciated.
