Excellent food and fantastic service. Highly recommend the pierogi meal. Cocktails are creative and very good; good wine list too. The service is top notch! Definitely stop here!

Stopped by Balance during the bar crawl as they were a participating location and they did so wonderful. Drinks were great, wait time was minimal and bartenders handled the rush very well with a great attitude. I’ll definitely be back!!!

My niece and I won the YMCA Slim Down for summer challenge. We received a dinner certificate for Balance Restraunt. Delicious meal, Matt our server was accommodating and friendly. Thank you YMCA for the challenge and thank you Balance Restraunt for the meal.

So we came here Friday night with a friend of ours that was visiting from India, We were lead to believe that they had great options when it came to vegetarian choices, the waitress told us there were two and told us what they were. Neither one sounded like anything great but we were already there and didn’t feel like looking for another place, she never brought us the lemons for our drinks and the food was almost too salty to eat, what what really made me write this review was what the waitress said to us. She brought over the check and our friend wanted to pay for us. So she handed him the machine, our check was about 47.00 and he was putting the tip on. She was watching over his shoulder and announced to us that he was leaving her 5.00 and that was not acceptable in the United States, (which we were going to make up for what he didn’t give to make it 20%. We just didn’t want to embarrass him) I couldn’t believe she said that. She then proceeds to show him three different options to choose from for a tip. He picked one and she said well that’s the smallest one. But ok. It’s not acceptable to talk to customers like that. And the more I think about it the angrier I am, I should have said something that night but I just didn’t have the words

Just want to start off by saying the owners are absolutely amazing I worked their for awhile and the team is great the food is amazing you need to stop in and eat their it will not disappoint you I went into say my last goodbyes because I’m graduating culinary school at the Commonwealth technical Institute and I was almost ready to pay the bill and she said she was taking care of it .. chef Dallas and Amanda were a great team to work for and also the server I had was wonderful ..
Bad place for dairy allergies/vegans. Sat at the bar, ordered takeout & waited. There was only 1 item on the menu that could be made vegan that day
Oil galore?like an oil soup, no1 uses THAT MUCH OIL but they do…undercooked rice and random veggies like peas & carrots from a microwaveable frozen bag. You could taste the plastic as well as the Styrofoam to~go container they put it in ?
Inedible. Ended up throwing it out. Money wasted. There was no quality in the food or skill in making it …like they didn’t care. We won’t be back
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options. Not many vegan alternatives.
Dietary restrictions: Not dairy allergy/vegan friendly.
Parking: Metered street parking but certain times/days are free.
Kid-friendliness: Yes
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

We've been to Balance a few times, but on all occasions, the food has been excellent and the service has been great! We ate in the courtyard this time and the weather was beautiful. It's completely shaded and very comfortable. We have dietary restrictions (vegan) and they were so accommodating and checked to make sure we were okay with the ingredients. We got the protein power bowl and we also got the sweet and spicy pizza and we modified to have no cheese or pepperoni and they offered to add veggies and we added roasted carrots. It was absolutely delicious!
Vegetarian options: Ask your server!

What a fantastic find! We were a little afraid to see the prices when we sat down but they were really reasonable and the food was delicious! We are going back soon!
This review was written for Journey restaurant but I also really enjoy eating at Balance restaurant next door.

7 of us had a reservation for 6:15 on a Saturday night. Seated right away but ordered drinks an appetizers. They trickled out sporadically. Dietary restrictions left me little choice. Ordered a chicken Remy Wrap but was unaware it would be served cold with a heap of luscious looking French fries which were also stone cold. Waiter wasn't around to tell. Won't be back.
