Great food, only gave 3 stars for the service because when it came time to leave our waitress was nowhere to be found. Only did 4 on the food but it was because of the water, not the food. It tasted like really bad tap water, we both felt a little off when leaving.

This has to be the best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in the area, and I would know being from Texas, the atmosphere is great and very cheerful and the service was excellent. The food is the best I have found in the area and they offer some authentic cuisine with a northern twist. The deserts are great as well. Highly recommend the drive to come here, I'm staying in Altoona and I will be back!

This place was a gem when I first found it about a year 1/2 ago but upon my last return I found that something has changed. The salsa was not the same, chips were not the same and the margaritas were nowhere near as good as they were in the past. (They taste like they were made with sour mix, instead of fresh lime - way too sweet & artificial tasting.) Also the bean dip I loved so much has way too much cheese - I want to taste beans, otherwise I would order queso dip.Atmosphere is very festive & colorful. Waitstaff is fairly attentive. I just wish for more authenticity in the cuisine like it was in the past. Upon checking out last time I had to ask if this restaurant was under new ownership & my suspicions were confirmed. I miss the former El Jalisco ?

The service is great, especially if you get one of the OGs. The food is great too, I recommend the Nachos Supreme, Fajitas, and Taco Salad. The atmosphere is very artistic and ethnic. A lot of color and handmade furniture, the chairs, benches, tables, etc... are all art pieces.Kid-friendliness: The staff are very friendly and the place has a lot of cool things for kids to look at.
