Drove 45 minutes out exclusively to eat there on a Saturday and they were closed in the middle of the day when it says they're supposed to be open from 12 to 7. Could've posted the closure on their Facebook or something.

Wow! What a wonderful restaurant! I live in Atlanta and it can be hard to find a great Jamaican restaurant in my town of 9 million. But, look no further Johnstown residents! I could not decide between the j*** chicken and the oxtails. So, I got both! Each one was fall off the bone tender and the juices soaked up the rice.And, the collards and the cabbage are outstanding. I am not sure what the secret ingredient is in each vegetable, but they are very tasty.I will try a vegetable plate next time as I will try the other vegetables too.This is a very welcome addition to the community. I would definitely recommend Island Cuisine Restaurant.Vegetarian options: Very full of flavor!

Amazing food with kind and helpful staff. My older parent (in their 80s) enjoyed the food and the owner brought samples for them to taste before ordering and adjusted the spice to their liking. The spiced honey sauce is out of this world.

The owner created a fabulous experience, showed interest in my older parents, and spiced dishes to meet their needs. His food is excellent with the best greens I've ever had (I have had collard greens all over the US and in other countries). We had enough left over for dinner. I will go every time I come back to Johnstown.

Outstanding friendly service! Definitely give this place a try!My friend and I stopped here for a quick drink and bite before a show at the Heritage Discovery Center. We only had about 25 minutes before the show started and the restaurant closed at 7:00 pm. We selected our drinks and asked Owner Jevon what would be quick. He served us rice and collard greens and rice and cabbage for Free! He was so nice! The food was delicious and healthy. Jevon spoke to us about his mission to serve flavorful, healthy, affordable food for the people of Johnstown. I will definitely return next time I'm in Johnstown!

This restaurant has delicious and healthy options for vegetarians! I recommend the curried tofu, macaroni and cheese, collards, and yams. Also, the place was clean and the service was wonderful!Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian section of the menu. They will ask if you are vegetarian or vegan when you order from that section.

Placed and order and was told it would be about 50 minutes. No problem! They called 2 hrs later and stated he was leaving in 20 minutes. Still no problem! 3.5 hrs later food was delivered only to find it was not what I ordered. I called and informed him. He said no problem. I will bring you the J*** chicken back along with coupons for the reentrants to use. Still no problem for me! Almost 24 hrs later no J*** chicken and no coupons. Very unfortunate!
