My family and I were just visiting the area and chose Ryan's because it had menu choices we thought the kids would eat. And none of us were disappointed! Their smashburgers are delicious! Their breaded chicken is spectacular! (There are some amazing seasonings in their breading.) And they have some baked goods to enjoy as dessert. We got a gob and it was a big hit! I highly recommend giving them a try!

I called the bakery in the morning to see if they had rye bread available. The woman who answered the phone said that they make homemade, fresh bread on a daily basis. When I arrived with my husband to the bakery we ordered the rye bread with 2 coffees. An elderly lady brought out the coffees in paper cups. I asked her if I could, please, have a ceramic cup twice , since I wanted to drink my coffee at the table. She looked at me in a confused, not understanding manner. I pointed to a tray that was filled with ceramic cups. She just looked at me and walked away. I didn’t want to disturb her again so I took a cup closest to me. Immediately, a very angry employee ( female with glasses) , jumped out and roared at me for taking a cup. I tried to explain to her what happened but she completely ignored me. She conducted herself in a very abrasive and unprofessional level. Since there were other patrons in the coffee shop witnessing her outrage, i didn’t want to escalate things. My husband and I drank our coffee quietly. We are out of town visitors who love to explore and try new things and support local businesses. Being a huge bread lover I got very excited when I read that this place offers artisan bread. When I received the rye bread it was neither freshly made nor artisan. It came cold in plastic bag, refrigerated. The man who sliced it up was pleasant and courteous. I didn’t want to mention or write any negative review if it wasn’t for the poor customer service. My kids LOVE the pizza ? ( it is really good!! The homemade crust is chef's kiss!) recently we had their smash burgers and my husband and I both agreed they are THE BEST burgers we ever had! Melt in your mouth! My oldest is obsessed with their bagels and cream cheese. Italian soda is a big hit with my dudes too. We really like it here ! The owners are super kind too! Family and kid friendly. Something for everyone!

I was there for the first time last week on my way home from the eclipse. They made the best burger (mushroom swiss) and potato salad that I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly and even gave my dog a pup cup. Ryan, his wife and their team made a long drive home enjoyable. It was so good that I’m planning a day trip to Johnstown soon just to have another great lunch, and plan to explore the town while I’m there.
