Visiting Johnstown to see relatives, my brother told me the The Lounge Cafe featured some amazing sandwiches. He was right! I have eaten there twice on this visit and am more than pleased with the food. Spiced perfectly, cooked to perfection, and prepared at a reasonable time. Well done!
Stopped in this morning for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich - so good! If you're going to run in Sheetz for a quick breakfast, go a couple of blocks over instead - greater taste and value for about the same price!
This is a hidden gem in Johnstown, found fortuitously online. First, we were pleasantly surprised when we entered this cafe to find a welcoming, clean and modern setting. The menu is limited in size but not in flavors. There is a very nice selection of sandwiches, empanadas and on Tuesday and Saturday relleno de papa (a potato croquet). Having been my first visit, I tried a standard....The Cuban sandwich. The proportion of pork, ham cheese and pickle were perfect. Nicely seasoned...
