I figured I’d give Chester’s Chicken a try since I was in the area for lunch, but it’s just not for me. There was way too much crust over the meat, which made it tough to enjoy, even though the spicy seasoning was pretty good. The service was mid—the young lady at the counter was expressionless, but at least she wasn’t rude. I ordered the chicken bites, and they were okay, but again, the heavy crust made them hard to eat. I tried many chicken around and Chester's is the best. Also they use better ingredients than everywhere else. Bone in breast is my favorite. Crispy on the outside and soft and juicy inside. The service is always outstanding. The man who works there is very attentive and polite.
Overall, the food was good. Service was very polite and friendly with a smile. Was there around 7:30pm. Bought the combo, chicken sandwich, Mac & cheese, biscuits, bbq sauce, and bought an apple pie. It was just under $12. Pros & cons list.
