Can't really speak much on the food this time around. They asked us for our drink order before we even finished sitting down, which was weird. Took our food order normally a few minutes later, then never brought the food. We left after a full hour without getting food.

What I'm about to share about my experience is so crazy you are going to to think I'm making it up, but I have photos. After having a generally great time and truly enjoying the food, about halfway through our meal, I took a sip of my water and then looked down to see a roach floating in it. I have never been so disgusted in a restaurant in my life. And if you think it's possible that things can't get worse than that, they can - because the restaurant absolutely could not have cared less. I very calmly and discreetly brought the issue to the attention of the person at the front desk, and explained that not only was I not going to be eating anything else at the restaurant, but everyone else's glass at the table had been filled from the same pitcher, and so the waters needed to be refreshed. Not a single person from management came to the table, the waters were never refreshed, and not a single dollar was taken off the bill. I wasn't even paying as it was my birthday dinner, but there is no way that my friends should have had to pay in full for this kind of experience. My advice is to stay far away from this place - if this is how they handled things tonight, I can only imagine what is going on behind the scenes.

Best Chinese Food! Maybe, if you’re willing to pay $17 for 8 pieces of General Tos Chicken. I walked into this place and it was empty at dinner time and I didn’t think of it. I ordered Gen Tos Chicken and she tells me $17. I asked her how big the serving is and she holds her hands just smaller than a softball. I am ok with paying for good and outstanding food but that’s CRAZY! I walked out.

The food is absolutely excellent. They have authentic and American Chinese, both delicious. Service sometimes is a bit sketchy.

Forever was the first Chinese restaurant we discovered after we moved from NJ to Mainline Philly in 2017. We quickly got hooked on their refined Szechuan style Chinese dishes. They are very tasteful but less spicy than in China That's perfect to our tastes. We frequently saw many Chinese students in Philly driving out to dine in Forever. And we also kept coming back. During COVID 19 pandemic we were quite worried that the restaurant might close the door. So we tried to come to eat if allowed or take out if dinning in was not possible. Over time I developed some favorite dishes and anytime I went, I always got exactly the same style and taste for my dishes. The consistency has been amazing! In my view, Forever is the best Chinese restaurant outside I476 around KOP and along Mainline.

We had cumin lamb chops that were excellent. Dry pepper chicken, double cooked fish, and tea smoked duck, all delicious. We try to go with 4 or more people so we can order more of their dishes. The food has always been very good. This is our Sichuan go to restaurant.Parking: It’s in a strip shopping center so there is always plenty of parking very close to Forever.

A more authentic leaning approach rather then the americanized cookie cutter restaurants. They had an Americanized menu section though, for those not so adventurous. I got to try both and was quite happy with my selections. A definite must try.

Too many other better options in the area if Chinese is on the menu. The food here is bland, overpriced, and very mediocre. I ordered the beef with string beans, much to my dismay. It was the worst iteration of this dish that I have ever had. The beef was cut into thin slivers, about the same length and width as the green beans. The sauce was very bland, with almost no flavor whatsoever. My dining partner also thought his dish was very mediocre. One would think that with the higher prices charged by this establishment, there would be some nice amenities which accompanied the meal. There are none! No pot of oolong table for the table (which would have been appreciated on a cold night, such as the night we visited). No Chinese noodles with duck sauce to nosh on while waiting for the dinner platters. Brown rice not offered - just plain white. The restaurant was slightly busy - so I guess it has its fans. Based on my experience, I would not return. I wish them all the best, but I just don't see diners choosing "Forever" over one of the more delicious options in the area.

The stir fried pig's kidney dish tasted very stale, and I unfortunately had a difficult time during my flight that night.

More people need to know about this restaurant and their delicious food! This is now my new favorite restaurant for Chinese or Szechuan food. This is what I order at every restaurant: pork with hot
