Great place to eat! Service was great! They messed up my girlfriend’s meal but it was remade right then and there and they even threw in free desert to say that they were very sorry about the mix up. I will definitely be back here to eat again.

Bartender and table server could have been a little more pleasant in the King of Prussia location Saturday evening. Food was just above average. Date had the Sea Bass and I had a filet. Shrimp cocktail was awesome as well as the desserts. Atmosphere was okay but the staff might require a little customer service training.

The food was overall pretty good. The calamari was very good and the pork chop was decent. The experience and ratings may have been another star higher if it wasn’t so rushed in there. Our waitress (who was never rude or anything and she was very nice) came over to our table the very first second we sat down and were handed the menus by the hostess and asked if we wanted to put an appetizer in? My wife and I looked at each other and just said to ourselves sheesh can we get at least 30 seconds to look over the menu. Then we were overly asked every 3 minutes about if we needed anything and how we doing etc…..just felt completely rushed, which is exactly what’s in a lot of the previous reviews. Therefore, the owner or manager will just respond with a generic response to make it look like to the public that they care but if they haven’t fixed the overly rushed thing yet, that means they aren’t going to do it. So just beware decent food, but paying $160-$200 to be rushed.

Came in for dinner on a Sunday night. Customer service from the hostesses was lackluster and dry but my sever Allison and was excellent. She was very friendly and was knowledgeable about the menu. The manager with professional and helpful when there a small issue with my meal. I love the ambiance of the restaurant. Overall a pleasant dining experience. I recommend the calamari and the carrot cake! They make all of their desserts in-house and the quality of everything was fabulous.

Despite being mindful of the peak hour rush, the service did not meet the standards we would expect from a restaurant during busy times.

This was our first visit to J. Alexander's and we could not have had a better experience. The service was great. The food was outstanding. The atmosphere is upscale without being pretentious. We ordered off the KOP restaurant week menu. We ordered the calamari, the steak rolls, ceaser salad, the filet mignon, the prime rib, the key lime pie, and the chocolate cake. The food was cooked perfectly and was delicious. We will definitely be returning to try more items off the menu.

Took the hubby out for date night and luckily J. Alexander's had an opening for reservations, atmosphere was very nice, food was very delicious and the staff super friendly. Only thing I did not like was that we felt a little rushed when the food was brought out. We had an appetizer and as soon as we got done with that our salads came out but then entrées cane out while we were still eating. Other than that it was perfect.

My wife and I had a 4:15 reservation. This was our 3rd or 4th time patronizing this restaurant. We got there 5mins early, and was seated immediately. We ordered 2 appetizers, the calamari and hong kong shrimp. While we were eating our appetizers, my wife decided she wanted the New York strip steak, medium, and I'd get the Filet Mignon, medium rare. We placed our orders. My wife saw crab cakes on the menu and wanted an order. The crab cakes were only served as an entree, not as an appetizers so that's what she ordered. I figured since it was still relatively early and the portions weren't large (not a problem at all), I'd order the Nola shrimp. After we placed our 2nd orders the server came back to our table and said her manager wanted to know if we were sure if we wanted 2 entrees. We didn't think anything of it and said yes we're sure. Our food did arrive in a timely manner, my Filet Mignon was cooked medium, so it was very chewy. Another server walked past and commented on how much food we ordered. My wife and I were stunned. Didn't realize it mattered what we ordered. A few minutes later the manager came to our table to say we were really hungry to ordered so much food. Again, the portions aren't that large, so it wasn't a lot of food. But that shouldn't matter I was paying for everything I orded. My wife was extremely embarrassed. We stopped eating and asked for the check. Honestly, it took everything in me not to cause a scene. I paid my bill, tipped the waitress and left. I won't be going back there.
