We arrived here shortly before 6 pm thinking we had plenty of time based on the website-posted closing time of 8 pm. We were greeted by the host who informed us that the kitchen was closed and that the cafe was closing at 6 pm. We pointed out the hours discrepancy and asked if we could be seated and have a bowl of soup and soft drinks. He immediately and cheerfully accommodated our request. Within a few minutes we were enjoying delicious clam chowder and tomato basil soup along. with the best garlic & parmesan toast ever AND warm sour dough bread with butter. The host came over to apologize for the hours glitch and told us that our delightful meal would be provided at no charge even though we insisted on paying. He wouldn't hear of it so, of course, we left a generous gratuity.By exercising good judgement this host/manager not only diffused a potentially unpleasant scene but made two senior citizens very happy. Needless to say, we'll go out of our way to patronize Marketplace Cafe in the future.

Food is actually very good, but the service makes the experience miserable. Somehow, they created a food delivery model where servers are not incetivized to serve. You select your food and drinks, pay and tip upfront. After that you take a receipt, find a table and hope that someone decides to come over and look at the receipt to bring drinks and to tell the kitchen where you sit. A kitchen runner will eventually bring food, when drinks will show up is anyone's guess. Because the tip was collected up front, guests are just an inconvenience to the servers. A take a number to the table model would be so much simpler and more efficient. A shame, because we actually liked the food, but it took 45 minutes to get.

The quality of service at this location has really gone down in the past year. The last two times I dined here, the experience was subpar. The server only came over to take the receipt for the order and brought out the drinks. She asked us if we wanted bread and butter but it never came. She never came back to check in how our meal was or to refill our drinks. They also used to give out those chocolate mints at the end of your meal which I’m guessing they don’t do anymore. Please train your staff better.

I am blown away by Nordstrom Cafe!!I never knew this place existed. We always get coffee on the 2nd floor but decided to venture up to the third floor. There is a large cafe.. we could not believe it and were so excited (lol!)We tried it out and I was actually blown away. Natalie our server was SO nice and accommodating. We ordered clam chowder, French dip sandwich, and a seasonal penne with Alfredo, gorgonzola, mushrooms, butternut squash, balsamic, bacon, etc. It was so so good. Pasta was cooked perfectly. The French dip sandwich was delicious as was the chowder. They even end the meal with chocolates. An all around perfect lunch. They also have brunch as well and have alcohol!

Food is ok. All the people working there generally don’t care about your order. It takes forever for them to bring out water and food. Sometimes when you order take out it would just sit in the kitchen and after you waited 20 mins for a simple salad, you ask one of them to check on your order, they bring out your order right away from the back. It was probably sitting in the kitchen for Ren mins no one cared about being it out.

Had lunch with my mom yesterday here! The food was delicious! This was the Wild Shrimp Salad! Used to go here all the time when we were at the mall, and looking forward to having lunch here again in the future!

Great options and the food is always good quality. Try the blackened Salmon Caesar Salad. You won't be disappointed!! Also their team is great, especially Omer and Steven.

The best grilled cheese and tomato soup! It's on the kids menu and only like $7 but is enough food for an adult. I love coming to Nordstrom cafe to get this meal. Their shrimp and polenta salad is also a good go too. Everything is so delicious and comes out so fast it's a great lunch and dinner spot when you don't want fast food in the mall. The restaurant ambience is so nice and relaxing. They give you little mint chocolates at the end when you leave. Natalie is an awesome waitress who goes above and beyond to make your experience great.

A happy surprise while looking for a lunch spot in the massive KOP Mall. Quiet, clean, beautiful restaurant, with excellent staff. Great iced tea (a plus to me!) and wonderful meal - I got the bolognese with chicken meatballs and spicy sausage (which was not too spicy at all - a nice little kick). It was excellent! Staff is very attentive, anticipating needs. I will definitely be back; I saw quite a few things on the menu I would like to try. (Since you currently - in these Covid times - pay for your meal at the counter before sitting down, if you don't have cash to leave a tip on your table, you can add a credit card/debit card tip by going back to the counter on your way out.)

Since the Grand Lux Cafe was a 30 minute wait, we decided to give this place a shot. It was probably the emptiest restaurant in KOP and the food was delicious. Lots of dramatic booth seating to help you feel a little more social distanced too. I had the asparagus grilled cheese and it was crispy and not too oily with the asparagus cooked just right. I got it with the salad which was also delicious and might have been my favorite part of the meal. Free refills come with your food and the staff was very prompt and professional. Will be coming back here soon!

I have been coming here since I was in a stroller shopping in the baby section across the way and it is nearly always a great lunch. Food never lets me down, sometimes the service is spotty. A bit unconventional in how you order but that actually makes it quicker: order/pay at the register, take a seat, and a server takes care of you. Great salads, good sandwiches, and nice pasta and pizza orders. The desserts in the counter are also yummy depending on what they have going on at the time. Occasionally, the servers aren't as attentive (with you or with bussing tables) as you might hope, given that the desire here is usually a quick bite. Third floor Nordstrom cafe is a far better option than the food court and usually a little less crowded. Fair prices for dishes as well.

Pleasantly surprised the food was fantastic. For under $20 we got a cup of chicken noodle soup, a cheddar biscuit, and a Sante Fe chicken panini with a side Caesar salad. Everything was fresh and full of flavor and the panini was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the biscuit, too. It was like an upscale version of the Red Lobster cheddar biscuit.

Food is great. Plenty of options to enjoy. Pricey but healthy portions are served. Enjoyed the cream of mushroom soup & steak tacos! Seating can be a Challenge at peak times of the day, especially if tables are not cleaned in a timely manner.

Nordstrom cafe WAS one of my favorite restaurants and my fave dish other than the tomato basil soup was the grilled salmon and vegetables. Well it's time to say goodbye to Nordstrom cafe!! The quality of food and service has gone down . On two occasions I went and the place was dirty. Table tops not clean and the floor not vacuumed. They have a new chef but it's not an improvement!
