The food is usually delicious, but in my recent experience the "lean" brisket that I ordered was dry and hard. The mac & cheese and green beans were delicious, but the meat was inedible. They threw the meat on a paper which meant that the juices were absorbed by the paper. The meat was also not thin sliced. I hope the management can oversee the cooking of the brisket because my meal was ruined by this dry, thick meat.
Figured I would check them out since they're close to where I live. Just don't expect to get a lot of food here, at least not with what I ordered. The two meat sampler is true to its name. It's about enough meat for a ten year old. Not an overweight ten year old, but maybe an underweight one. At almost $14 dollars for it this place should be embarrassed. Had never been to a Mission Barbecue before & wasn’t aware of their history. I work at the nearby Children’s Hospital as a Paramedic, went there in uniform and was taken aback! Great service, amazing and kind group of people and staff. Great food. Excellent in every way. They do a great job. Very thankful that this place exists!
