Mother’s Day Disappointment – Not the Paladar We Once Loved
We’ve been loyal patrons of Paladar for years and have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. So naturally, we chose it to celebrate Mother’s Day with family and friends — but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience.
We spent around $250, expecting the quality and service we were used to. Sadly, the food was subpar, and the service was well below acceptable. What was most disheartening was how the celebration felt diminished by poor treatment. While we noticed other moms being given flowers as part of the experience, our table was completely overlooked. When I inquired, a different server mentioned we should have received two roses but didn’t understand why we hadn’t. After raising it with the front desk, our server finally brought over a big red rose and two wilted white ones — handing us the white ones. It felt like an afterthought, and frankly, quite dismissive.
We were told when seated at noon that the table would need to be cleared by 2pm, which was fine. But at 1:20pm — as soon as we paid — we were abruptly asked to leave. The way it was handled was rushed and inconsiderate.
I truly hope this wasn’t due to us being South Asian, but the way we were treated made it hard not to feel singled out or less valued. It left a bad taste and was a far cry from the warm, welcoming Paladar we once loved.
I hope management reads this and takes real steps to ensure all guests are treated with the same respect and care — especially on meaningful occasions like Mother’s Day.
The food is a hit or miss here. The sauce is excellent, but some of my steak was over cooked and hard to cut. I felt like I was Lisa from Temecula cutting steak. However, I appreciate they took off my dish from the bill.
We usually love Paladar but had a very disappointing experience today while celebrating a special occasion. We had made a reservation well in advance but were seated at a high table in a noisy area near the bar and given a variety of excuses. No menus were provided initially, they brought the wrong red snapper with a face on (after taking notes to remove it), a staff member dropped a heavy item against my chair and we had to wait to ask for cutlery to be replenished after starters. Service for dessert was very slow and they brought out each dessert one after the other. If you can't honor reservations properly, then you shouldn't take them. Food quality was sub-standard with no flavor to the fish. The 2 couples across from us kept screaming and laughing loudly without any consideration for anyone. It was a rather unpleasant experience
Really good! Our server Michael was great, the food was brought out SO unbelievably fast, and it was delicious. Not spicy if you like that but they offer you hot sauces. I had the chicken tacos.
Attended for a Cinco de Mayo celebration. Food was good, prices were just okay some items I felt were overpriced. Only thing I didn't like is I felt rushed by our waitress. I would visit again
Had the pleasure of meeting Steven aka Fluffy…truly was a pleasure. He recommended great food and drinks, both were spot on! Actually even better than that! He was a welcome personality and really went out of his way!! Wonderfully funny and genuine personality. Can’t say thank you enough.
A Hidden Gem in King of Prussia – Paldar is a Must-Visit!
From the moment we walked into Paldar, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Emily, the manager, was incredibly kind and attentive—checking in on us throughout our meal to ensure everything was perfect. And let me tell you, everything truly was.
We ordered the chimichurri steak, and it was absolutely to die for! Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and paired beautifully with rice and beans—it was a dish that hit every note. My son had the grilled chicken with rice, and even he couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it was. (And he’s a tough critic!)
The atmosphere was cozy, the service was top-notch, and the food? Simply unforgettable.
If you’re anywhere near King of Prussia, PA, do yourself a favor and stop by Paldar. Your taste buds (and your tummy) will thank you!
We are a Jersey Family and def will drive to PA for this in the near future !!
They sat multiple people in front of me and then tried to sit me at a table where other people were in that space. The manager said he was the general manager and there is no one above him that I could speak to but a man named Charlie. He was inexcusable rude to me and kept making excuses why they told me I could sit for a better table where there was space stating I’m just one person. Don’t go here
Amazing food and place, horrible music that kills the atmosphere, a rum bar should have Latin music not Hannah Montana
Always great food. There's so much on the menu to choose from. The shrimp and grits are my favorite. The sweet potato donuts are to die for.

First time visiting with reservations in a group for dinner. Food was absolutely amazing! The carribean grilled chicken was made with care and attention evidenced by its tenderness and flavor. Our waiter appeared frustrated possibly overwhelmed as he was seen alternating between the bar and table service. I still provided 5 stars because the GM was on premise and made it right. There seems to be a healthy atmosphere overall. Great playlist. You can sit outside, at the bar or on a more low-key side for a quieter intimate experience. Definitely a place I plan to revisit.
Horrible service and mediocre food. I ordered a watermelon margarita and received a mango margarita. Order sunny side up eggs and received eggs that the yolks were cooked and the whites were raw. Ordered grits on the side, never received it. So I had to wait while everyone else was eating for them to fix the eggs and when they came out the second time, I still had no grits and had to wait even longer.
Food was ok. The fried chicken was dry and soaked with syrup so that is all the meal tasted like. The tacos were bland and flavorless. The queso and the brussel sprouts were really good. The wrap was very small.
Also we went over cinco de mayo weekend and they claimed to have $4 beers and $6 margaritas. Our waiter never told us this and we saw the sign on the way out. They charged us full price for everything, which was $14 per margarita I believe.
Based on service alone, I would not recommend going here. The food is not worth dealing with the bad service either.
Flights were ok, so were the smoked wings
The food was good. The service was excellent. Okay, both were excellent. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who likes good food. They have a decent variety. You won’t be disappointed.
No better way to spend an afternoon with amazing food and staff. Food hits all of the palettes, amazingly friendly staff, great overall atmosphere run by Larry, Pablo, and team. Looking forward to the upcoming enhancements - lifetime loyalty 🌮
