I woke up early and on my way to the office thought of getting some bagels for myself and coworkers. I have had stellar customer service. I was greeted and welcomed, given options and sent on my way with extra bagels, not one but two cans of cream cheese, plus a jar of marmalade for free. I am definitely looking forward to go back and thank for the service once again. Check out the Veggie Spread!!!
I’m not sure what’s going on at this location. There was a line of people waiting, and unbelievably, no one staffed the register for 20 to 30 minutes.
Not my first time at Spread Bagelry and just to set the stage, we always get our bagels toasted.
Everything bagel with veggie cream cheese: This was our favorite. Simple, fresh, and hit the spot.
Turkey bacon, egg & cheese: It was alright. Nothing too exciting, but honestly, it’s hard to mess up a bagel.
Onion bagel with egg & cheese: This one came in second place—solid flavors and nicely balanced.
The coffee (La Colombe) was fresh and bold, just how I like it.
Overall, is it the best bagel in town? Probably not. But definitely a solid, reliable spot. it’s a bit on the pricier side. Three bagels and two coffees ran me about $41.
Classic bagel is the bomb
Last time I came here exactly 1 year ago, I had the best egg sandwich ever on a fresh bagel. Today, I'm almost losing my teeth trying to bite through my bagel. What a shame. This place is supposed to have FRESH bagels especially 30 minutes after opening. What a shame.
Excellent place. Good location. Friendly Staff.
Baking onsite daily.
I had the Carnegie breakfast sandwich on the rosemary olive oil bagel and the butter spread and strawberry jam on the cinnamon raisin bagel. Both were outstanding!
Just found this place in the past 2 weeks and already been there a handful of times. I love it!
Probably one of the better spread bagelry locations. Good customer service and makes the bagel sandwiches well.
First time visit at Spread. ( I don't ever go out to eat for a bagel. (fitness profession coffee and chocolate is my carb) Me and my daughter visiting from NYC split 2 bagels. She ordered a whole wheat bagel scooped out toasted whitefish Classic (it came with a lot of whitefish salad and a giant layer of cream cheese too spread in it. A tad too much cream cheese for us ) I had a toasted scooped whole wheat bagel, Nova Lox and cream cheese and capers. The last bagel I ate was around 6 months ago. I made myself at home from Tik Tok with cottage cheese called protein bagels. They were disgusting. Bagels in the Philly area all taste like Lenders Bagels. But Spread you got it right. Delicious. The spreads/ topping thumbs up. Price? .... I was fine with the price. It's food not a coffee drink. Nice concept of boiling the bagels in water with some honey and then wood oven baking them. Makes them not chewy.I love a crunch. I am craving as typing this another bagel with lox and a little whitefish salad. Thankfully you're not that close to me. lol
Restaurantji Recommends
I’ve given this place 3 chances now and I’m officially done. They’ve messed my order up each time and give small portions of sausage bacon etc. Do not Reccommend!!!
I will not be returning. How can a bagel shop exist when the service is this sub par. I could have walked over to the Wegmans across the street and gotten the same service I got here, for cheaper. Ordered 5 bagels, asked for plain cream cheese on all of them. Somehow I opened my bag to find 5 HARD uncut bagels and 2 cream cheese cups. What the heck did I even pay for, I could have gotten the same experience at Wegmans for way cheaper. Would not recommend, save your money and go to the Wegmans next store for better and fresher bagels for way cheaper. Plus no service upcharge
Bad customer service
I don’t know what’s worse the fact that the workers complain between each other about people‘s preferences and requests or the fact that they almost GLUTEN POISONED me.
That’s without mentioning that every other person in our party had to adjust the sandwich themselves. It’s really sad that a place that makes bagel sandwiches, Can’t even do that correctly, especially as they pride themselves on being gluten-free that they have a leaflet about it. Awful service, careless, and unprofessional.
King of Prussia location is slacking. They used to load up the sandwiches and now give a sliver of an egg. Idk if that’s management cutting back or cooks cutting corners but the Wayne location and others are noticeably better quality. Sorry kop but you gotta step it up.
