Avoid the seafood here AT ALL COSTS! Three people in our party of four had the Norwegian salmon last week and ALL 3 ended up seeking emergency medical treatment for food borne illness afterward. I had the sirloin steak à la cippollini, which was incredibly dry and overpriced. $250 for one of the worst dinners out I’ve ever had (not to mention my wife’s $500 ER copayment)… NEVER AGAIN!

I went to dinner with my wife and two friends, and we had high expectations. The menu looked nice, good Italian cuisine options for chicken, veal and beef. Good appetizer plate with delicious lemon butter sauce.
The service was most of our issue:
1. Had to ask for water.
2. Had to ask for more water because the bottle that was brought was not enough for four.
3. Had to ask for bread.
4. Waitstaff was not familiar with wine options or ingredients in chicken salad.
5. We never saw or original server after she took our order. Another waitress served us for the rest of the meal.
6. Waited for a lonnnng time for pasta and salad entrees.
7. Then we were forgotten about.
8. Finally, we were asked if we'd like another drink or dessert, and each couple split a dessert.
9. Then we waited again to see the waitress for the bill. To put this into perspective, we were done eating or entrees around 650; dessert arrived around 720; check arrived around 740. Yikes. We joined that we might be eating our leftovers for breakfast.
The food was good:
1. My chicken Alfredo was good, but not great. Swimming in sauce, but pasta and chicken cooked well. I would have liked some Parmesan or Pecoreno Ramano on top, but... more on that in a minute.
2. My friend's chicken salad was nice in you like huge pieces of romaine and chicken *on the bottom* of the salad?! Terrible presentation. He said chicken was dry.
3. The ladies had short rib ravioli, and it was done well. A little parm on top or alittle garnish would have finished off a nice dish.
4. Bread was delicious! It really was great. But... wait a second... butter didn't come with bread...? What? My wife told me that she said it cost $1.50 for butter. ?? For the bread. Now this was not *extra* butter, the cost would have been for our first butter. Really? So you are telling me that A Mano is BYOB - BRING YOUR OWN BUTTER?!?
BTW, it is also BYOP (Parmesan) and BYOBC (Bleu cheese. Are you kidding me. Our $30 entrees didn't come with butter or paresan cheese? I guess that I should be grateful that we got the water and best for free...
My wife bought burnt almond torte... meh. It was good, but i was expecting more. Both Oakmont Bakery and Giant Eagle make s better B.A.T. (I felt like it was exposed to the air for too long and was way too dry) Our friends split a piece of key line pie, and it was very good.)
So, needless to say, we all after that we will not be back. There are just way too many other restaurants where we could spend our $100 / couple and get much better food and much, much service... and a pat of butter.
Sorry for the harsh review, but I am always honest.
So, needless to we will not be coming back.

I had lunch at A Mano Eatery with a friend today. I ordered the chicken pineapple kabobs over curry rice. The chicken was cooked to perfection with great flavor and melt in your mouth tender. The pineapple added a touch of sweetness that blended well with the curry rice.
I am not a much of a curry fan but that being said I thought it was just the right amount for this dish. I highly recommend this dish when they have it from time to time.
The service was friendly and welcoming to everyone. Mike came out of the kitchen for a hug and that always makes the visit for dining so much better!

This place is a beautiful addition to Kittanning! It will be even more fantastic when they are running as a full restaurant! The bakery items are on point and so is the customer service! It would be even more awesome, if they start to carry items from the gluten free goat bakery In Pittsburgh or Gluuteny Bakery 💙💜🍰🍩

The food here is amazing. You can tell when someone actually puts effort into what they cook, amano has never failed at that. The service is also spectacular from my experience. Would definitely recommend.

Great food and desserts! I like how the menu changes every week.
Great food and pastries. You can get make at home products for later.
Visting from out of town and tried the lasagna. Very disappointed. Extremely cheesy with hardly any sauce and very little flavor.
Truly a pleasant surprise! The Gnocchi and Mushroom Cream were fantastic! Staff was wonderful. Sweets! It was hard to choose just 1 so we bought 5! Looking forward to stopping here again. Bravo!
