Such a nice little place! Good food, cozy atmosphere inside, the Carriage Inn is truly a memorable staple of Knox.

We went with another couple, mind you, we sat ourselves. Waitress had 4-5 other table's, and was currently solo. We waited about 10 minutes for her to get to our table, just to take the drinks. We ordered 3 Ice Tea's, 1 water & 1 coffee. Another 10 minutes later, she brought our drinks, and the coffee was from breakfast, not even a fresh pot! So, like MUD! We made it as simple as simple could be for lunch. A Bowl of Chili as 1 app. Sloppy Joe, Meatball Sub, cheeseburger & a ham & turkey club. The chili took 20 minutes for it to come out and then another 15-20 for the simple sandwiches! So the whole quick lunch thing turned out to be almost 1hr 45min. I don't put all the blame on Waitstaff... ½ goes i nto the kitchen. If the food was made to order, like chili or the meatballs for the sub, it would be understandable... clearly wasn't a good experience... unfortunately, the food wasn't that bad, but the preparation and consistency need to be reprimanded. NO FRIES OR CHIPS WITH SANDWICHES! $4 extra.

We visited the Himalayan Salt Room in Knox and my friends and I had lunch at the Carriage Inn. We had such a nice time and the lunch was great! Thank you Carriage Inn for putting up with us!

I work in the factory nearby. Love the food, homemade and fresh and Linda is just fabulous!!
Really good food! Had hot roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy. The ranch dressing salad was fresh and crispy. Local feel. The time it took to get meals though was quite long. The food was worth it in the end.

They don't have most menu items, quality of food is bad every time we order there and we order often as there's only 2 restaurants in Knox. Staff is rude and short. I wouldn't recommend going here unless it was your last possible option and still would probably choose to go hungry.
