I recently visited this restaurant and felt somewhat misled by the experience. Several food and drink items didn’t have prices listed, and the final total was much higher than expected for the portions we received. Additionally, the cashier emphasized the tip jar and reacted with a “wow” when I left only my change, which made the interaction uncomfortable. The food itself was okay, but the unclear pricing and customer service left a negative impression.

Never before in my life I walked into a establishment and immediately I felt uncomfortable the waitress seem like he was rushing me and my wife to hurry and order every question I ask about the food it seem like he barely wanted to answer.. and the food don’t let me tell you no lie I ate at a lot of Mexican restaurant and this place was by far the worst ever… I had the Wednesday special today 7/9/2025 two tacos beans and rice two cups of water with lime they gave us one lime and didn’t want to give us more I can tell by the way the waitress looked he didn’t want to give it to us.. the tacos was dry and salty and the rice and beans made me feel sick my order came up to $29.09 and I didn’t leave a tip the owner got so mad to point he followed me and my wife outside the restaurant and began cursing us out and sticking his middle finger up at us calling us cheap N words because we are black islanders and we told him service was bad so we didn’t leave a tip we tip those who deserve it and who has good service I wish I recorded the way this man started acting professionalism went straight out the window kuztown need to shut them down because they are going to give the town a bad name

We went there for my birthday! The food was delicious and served in a timely manner. It is authentic.
I just had dinner there yesterday about 5pm with my relatives who were visiting from Florida. I took them there because the last time I dined there, the service and food was excellent, but not yesterday. The waiter was very annoyed, impatient and reluctantly accommodating. The dining room was very cramped. The drinks were bottled soda plopped down on the table… no glasses, ice or straws. I had 2 elderly women with me who don’t drink from bottles. I went out to request straws, etc and stood there for a good 10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge me and it never happened so I sat back down to wait. He then gave us one glass with ice and 2 straws for 7 people and was he was very annoyed about it as well. I don’t know about you but I’m so tired of spending good money for poor service! The food was very good but once you receive treatment leave that, you don’t go back. It’s a real turn off. Very disappointing and embarrassing because I really pumped the place up to my relatives.

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was pregnant with my first child in 2001. Not only has a service always been extraordinary but the owner and management has been outstanding. We love this place so much and it gives us so much happiness when we are able to come back to Pennsylvania and stop by to have a bite to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. We have always loved this place and will keep on coming back even 24 years later.
Love the friendly staff and delicious food! The taco shells have the perfect crunch!

Service was great. Food was better than most Mexican food I have gotten in PA. Being from AZ, I am used to pretty great Mexican food. This place is on the upper rating compared to what I have gotten in PA. I had cheese enchiladas, chili rellano, and sopa. The atmosphere was decorated cute and had a happy Mexican vibe to it.

Have been coming here since it opened in 2001. A great place with a very tasty and spicy green sauce I cannot find elsewhere. Friendly staff. The chili rellenos (cheese) are great, as is their fried ice cream.
