Amazing. It is as much entertainment as anything watching this place operate. Controlled chaos. Never once had anything but amazing service. Come for the show but stay for the food. Huge. Creative. Flavorful. Every meal I’ve ordered was better than the last and I always take at least half of it home. You won’t find a better spot, enjoy.

Went to Letterman’s diner in May 2025 for the first time, the food was awesome! Exactly what you expect from a small town diner that’s been around forever.
The staff is a lot of fun.
Bring your appetite because you will get a giant portion of great food.
I recommend sharing with a friend and trying a couple of dishes.
Don’t sleep on the French toast it’s very good.
Can’t wait to go back next time. I’m in the neighborhood.

Great place for comfort food. Bit of a tight squeeze, but that means you'll just have to talk to your neighbor on the stool next to you. You definitely get your value from your buck at Letterman's.

This little diner serves up big food. We read it was rated the best breakfast in Berks county, at it really lives up to the claim.
The atmosphere is that of a run down, old school diner / dive in a row house. It truly belongs on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. The tables are for two, but our party of four sat at the counter.
As a southern transplant to the north, I constantly critique sausage gravy anytime I see it on a menu. It almost always disappoints, fails the taste test, but not this time. Letterman's sausage gravy reminded me of my mother and grandmother's family sausage gravy we had multiple times a week. It was five stars, a home run, hands down. It's worth a trip to Letterman's just for the sausage gravy, but it's just the tip of the iceberg.
We had the smokey omelet, the cheese steak omelet and a grilled cheese with bacon sandwich. All were loaded with meat, seriously there was easily over a pound of meat in each omelet.
The grilled cheese with bacon was big with four big slices of perfectly cooked bacon.
Everything was simply delicious and extremely well made. The chef is a true master.
