Stopped in for lunch and restaurant was busy, but we were seated right away. Service was fast and friendly. My husband started with a cup of soup ( Shrimp Bisque) it was very good. We both had sandwiches. My burger was good ( frozen patty) the fries were delicious! Husband had the Rachel and Dutch fries served with vinegar on the side. Both were very good. Restaurant is in a shopping center and on the smaller size. Plenty of parking.

An old favorite! I discovered this place while a student at KU in the late 1970's/ early 1980's! Still just as great! And friendly. This last visit our daughter came to visit from out of state and specifically requested we have breakfast here!

Nostalgic quaint place. Taking trips down memory lane with my elderly Mother. We enjoyed Sausage Gravy, Eggs, Homefries & Scrapple, made by a local butcher shop. Delicious!!
A wonderful late breakfast. Excellent Pancakes, so large a takeout dish was required. Quick, Courteous Service.Highly Appreciated and Recommended..

The food was pretty amazing. The side salads are quite large, and the corned beef reuben was divine. The Belgian waffle was very obviously topped with canned peaches, but I understand that it's hard to keep fresh peaches from rotting, so I'm not holding it against the place in the least, especially since the waffle itself was really good. The servers were very kind and helpful (I've been about 3 or 4 times up to this point, but i only had the chance to really relax and not rush during my last visit due to my schedule). If I don't have time to make myself breakfast, the breakfast muffins are very affordable and I can just pick one up on the way to work. In fact, a 2-person brunch came out to a little under $20 during my most recent visit. The decor is more nostalgic and inviting than fancy or themed, but it made me feel more at home if anything. All in all, I'd highly recommend you stop by if you have the chance.Kid-friendliness: There is kid friendly decor scattered about as well as kids' coloring pages, and I'd assume that there's more there for kids since the owner has one of their own

Good place breakfast or lunch prices are fair food is very goodParking: No problem parking
I visit the area frequently and was in the mood for some simple, straightforward, scrambled eggs. Believe it or not, that is hard to find these days! I came upon the Quality Shoppe and thought I’d give them a try. The home fries were suggested and I am so glad I got them. Not only was the English muffin fluffy and scrambled eggs done perfectly, but those potatoes! Oh my goodness! It was so pleasurable to actually taste the potato instead of the grease that they are cooked in (which I often find at other diners), The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Sitting at the diner bar was perfect for those just stopping in for a quick bite. I will return!
