I go to Bruno's several times a year. It's a friendly neighborhood greasy spoon. The food is what you would expect: not bad. The coffee is good. The waitresses hardworking, friendly, salt of the earth people.
This is a great place to visit. We love coming here with the kids.
Food was good after hiking the Wissahickon Trail. My breakfast sammy was tasty on an everything bagel. Husband liked his cheesesteak and he is a particular eater.
Rarely do I write a reviews while I’m still eating. But this place impressed me so much. The guy working the grill, the register, taking orders, getting refills was old fashioned, straight to the point, friendly, and obviously very good at what he does. The food was delicious and a great value. I’m very picky when it comes to fries, and theirs were some I’ve never had before. Sliced like a pickle. They were delicious. I wish I lived closer so I could come back.
Look, Bruno's is a dump. It's been a dump for 40 years. You want dumpy food, there's your place. Burger 101. Chicken sandwich 101. Fries 102.
Not good, given undercooked food many times.
Great place
Met friend for lunch , great location top of hill, entrance to Valley Green . Good options[ steak sandwiches] and vegetarian platters too .. .. Has inside porch and outside seating!
The owner Tim & his son Nick were terribly rude & did not treat me like a valued customer. I honestly asked a polite question about my bill & they jumped down my throat. It just wasn't necessary. Being angry with customers who give you their hard-earned money is poor business. If you refuse to consider $2 lousy dollars to compensate a customer for a mistake you made, you win the battle & lose the war. I have been going here regularly since 2003 & don't understand why you were willing to lose my patronage forever over a couple bucks. Just utterly insane.
First time here. Came for lunch on a Wednesday. Sat on the indoor
Porch. Love the red and white
Decor. Burgers and cottage fries were tasty. service was attentive and friendly. Menu items seemed to be a great value.

Fun place to stop during a bicycle ride or hike in the Wisahicon Park, Forbidden Dr, Northwest stables
The food and service were amazing! I will definitely be back.
My wife and I came here for lunch and had a pretty disappointing experience. It started with my wife’s meal coming out first before the appetizer and my meal. Then my meal was the wrong item, but I didn’t want to wait or force my wife to wait any longer when she had been finished eating already. Then while waiting for the check one of the workers started sweeping under our table while we were still sitting there and rested the broom on my wife while moving chairs around. And the cherry on top was getting the wrong change after I paid.
Great diner!
The best SOUP, CAN BUY QUART. BEST SERVICE! BEEN THERE FOR DECADES. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
