Cold roast beef, stale kaiser, dry sandwich, not all tasty. Steam clams, no flavor. Won't be back.

Beef and Ale's r a dying breed, glad this one is still around. Nothing like a freshly sliced roast beef sandwich and an ice cold beer.

The Hot Roast Beef sandwich was awesome. The gravy is the real deal too. Put it on the fries and it's all that! Wife got the wings which were very good.

Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back mainly because of the main male bartender and his attitude every time we feel rushed to place a order no time to even talk he rolled his fingers at me nodding his head this last time basically telling me to hurry up he told my buddy to spit it out to use his big boy words because he didn’t order in .25 seconds I cashed out no tip and left without a roast beef before I escalated anything my blood was boiling my buddy said it was the worst sandwich He’s had there the last one I got was pink bleeding onto my stale roll beef didn’t look cooked at all so I sent it back The one that I ended up with was mediocre a shame some of the best roast beef sandwiches that I’ve had have come from here the women working here have never shown us any type of disrespect
The best roast beef experience you'll ever have.
My fav is outside beef with provolone wet.
Enjoy

This was my first time at this establishment because a coworker said the roast beef, pulled pork and chicken parm were good. So I ordered the pulled pork which wasn't available. So we ordered the chicken parm which they were out of. It was only 5pm. SO, we ordered the roast beef sandwich, wings and a meatball parm. The meatball didn't have cheese so it wasn't a parm. When asked for cheese our waitress said it doesn't come with cheese. And the roast beef by my coworker's description is cut fresh, hot with melted cheese and warm gravy. My roast beef sandwich had cold roast beef, half slice of cold cheese and a side of luke warm gravy. I asked the waitress if the meat was suppose to be hot and she said no that I'm suppose to pour the gravy on top to warm it up. So strange! The meat was cold, dry and disappointing. Not what we were expecting especially for the a la carte price it is. It is a quaint, little place - my kind of bar but certainly the cold roast beef sandwich was such a turn off unfortunately.

Old fashioned bar. Pub is also an accurate description. Best roast beef sandwiches around! Au jus on a Kaiser roll. With provolone cheese, some horseradish and you’re in tastebud heaven! Located in the middle of Lafayette Hill it’s only a couple miles from the PA Turnpike and route 476.

When I heard the price I thought there was a mistake and I went to pick up the food anyway, but there was not. Very expensive for not even a full meal when ordering the platter.

The food was underwhelming especially considering the price. Prices are vastly greater in person than what is reflected online. For example the scallop platter was $12 online and $18 in person. Over multiple items that is a huge difference. The prices could be justified if the portions were at least generous or the food was high quality. Unfortunately neither statement is true. The quality of the food was low.The scallop platter looked like a kids meal with it's portions. I cannot in good faith recommend their food at all in terms of price, portions, quality, and price transparency. One star in every way.

Gravy is delicious and the kaiser roll tastes super fresh. Really kind, attentive, welcoming service. The beef itself is fresh; I recommend planning to add your own salt and seasonings to it, along with the gravy it'll make it good.
