We went to the Cock n' Bull on a Wednesday night and we practically had the restaurant to ourselves. The server was extremely attentive and the food we ordered was delicious! The only suggestion I would have id it would have been nice to have some complimentary bread and crackers either the soups we ordered and our meals. We thoroughly enjoyed our rare night out at the Cock n' Bull!
Loved the rustic atmosphere of the restaurant. Large windows gave great lighting and good views of peddles village. Food was excellent and a good value.
This was the second time our food was subpar. The first time, the pot pye was not to the usual standards and the latest visit, 8/5/25, the food was almost inedible. The chicken in the pot pye was stringy and vegetables were tasteless. The turkey dinner had thick deli meat and the gravy was too salty to render it inedible. My wife said it best “this is the Cock and Bull, they should be better than this “.
Made reservations for lunch during the Peach Festival at the Cock 'n Bull restaurant. Staff was friendly, prompt service, was nice to get out of the sun and sit in air-conditioning and the lunch menu was reasonably priced. The food was okay. There was four of us. Ordered from the Peach Specials-peach, feta and arugula salad. The salad was good, but the peach had no flavor, underripe. The Nashville Chicken sandwich was okay, but no kick/spiciness, Waldorf chicken salad sandwich was okay, to much mayonnaise and turkey club sandwich was very good. Ordered French fries with the sandwiches and they were good, hot and crispy. We did not order dessert as we wanted to check out some of the other places offering peach specials.
With reservations - no wait even busy! Service is exceptional. Appetizers: chicken exceptional! Crab cake ok- need more crab in it.
Always a pleasant experience at Cock n Bull, comfortable, relaxing, we are always well cared for, very good food!
Went for Friday Prime Rib night for a 6:30 pm reservation. Upon ordering Prime Rib we were told that they were out of Prime Rib !
My whole group enjoyed dining at cock and bull. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We appreciated the fact that there were good options for vegetarians on the menu. The only negative we experienced was that there was not bread offered at the table for our guests that we're having soup and pasta dishes. The waitress did not come back to check on us during our meal so we were not able to ask for bread until we were almost finished. She asked us how many pieces we wanted, which I found kind of surprising considering how much money I spent for the meal. Also, at that point, we didn't really need the bread so we said never mind. Otherwise, a very good experience. The desserts were amazing. I will probably return in the fall.
Service from Myles was extremely slow. He picked up checks from two tables ran them through brought them back to their tables and then came to our table. We were sitting for quite a while waiting for our order to be taken. The kitchen was quick and the food was good.
The place is always cool, always fun going to Peddlers Village. The food is good. Love the old house.

service was very good, and food was just good, nothing spectacular. My only real complaint is the dessert, which sounded so good, came out so frozen that we had to wait to let it thaw out and it wasn't very good. Otherwise, it was a nice dining experience.
My party and I all got burgers with fries. Every single burger was white, like the meat was white. That is not right, it was concerning. I ordered mine medium and my friend ordered well done, they looked exactly the same; the same white grayish meat. Would not recommend their burgers. The fries were good but that was the only good thing.
Good food
Waiter was very nice but forgot multiple items that were asked for. I’m gluten free and ordered off of their dedicated GF menu. My meal came with bread literally shoved into dish and the dessert (also marked gf) definitely had a bread base.
Not sure if he forgot to indicate it needed to be GF but absolutely would not dine there again and would caution anyone with gluten sensitivities to be abundantly cautious.
Seated quickly in their 1970s era musty smelling dining room with worn-out furniture. The waitress never visited our table. Not even a glass of water was offered. The dining room was virtually empty at dinnertime on a Saturday, so there was no excuse for having no server. Limited, rigid menu. The sliced turkey dinner had peas & carrots as a side with no alternatives. The hostess offered no apologies for the total lack of service.
