Great BBQ joint. Took my family here after the zoo last week and we were pleasantly surprised. Huge, delicious pulled pork sandwiches and the sides seemed to be homemade not frozen. My small kids liked everything. The pork and the fries, both regular and sweet potato were the highlights for us. The service was perfect as well so this will hopefully become a regular thing for us. We don’t go out often but when we do Mr Yock’s will definitely be at the top of our list.

I don’t know where to begin. What an incredible experience we just had. Food was excellent. Ribs & chicken cooked to perfection. Homemade cornbread, homemade coleslaw that was beyond delicious. Spotlessly clean & nicely decorated. Our server Danielle & owner/chef Shannon made a great night even better & made us feel like family. Oh & crème brûlée that was as good if not better than any restaurant we’ve ever been to. It deserves many more stars. Needless to say we’ll be back. BYOB!

We had been passing by this little gem often but they are closed during the winter. Well this past weekend, opening weekend, had finally arrived!! Lovely place, great food and outstanding service! We had the smoked wings, they were soooo good! We also had the chicken, sweet potato fries, chili, corn bread (hopefully that has won an award somewhere!) and for dessert…peanut butter pie (clearly homemade and wonderful!) and walking banana (classic picnic dessert - loved). The very nice lady at the counter told us they have live music during the summer and other events. Will definitely be back! My husband asked if he should go get some cornbread the next day so we could eat it with lunch 😂

I ate here once. Never again. My fiances chicken was so unbelievably dry and tasted like it had been reheated over and over again. We felt so insulted. I had a burger and it was not that good either.

so bad. The bbq chicken was dry and flavorless. The hamburger reminded me of a a school lunch burger. the waitress seemed racist and uninterested in our business. never smiled and straight to the point.

BBQ was pretty good. I highly suggest the pulled pork sandwich. Great flavor on a sturdy bun. Our server was very kind and attentive. We sat outside on their nice black picnic tables and enjoyed the beautiful summer day. Definitely recommend if your craving BBQ when you are in the Hamlin area.
Ordered a cheeseburger. The patty seemed home made and thick, but burger itself was on the smaller side on a wonderbread bun, but pretty good. Forget asking for anything on it, they don't carry lettuce or tomatoes etc. Was not offered any sides with it. If you don't ask you don't get. Ordered ribs with bbq sauce on the side, my son and wife didn't like it. Cole slaw was ok, mac and cheese looked good. Chilli was excellent! tasted exactly like the one we get from Trader Joe's. Corn bread was excessively sugary. Service was good but appeared to be somewhat strained. There was a unpleasant smell outside almost successfully masked by the firepit. Overall 4 stars for small but tasty homemade burger and delicious chilli. Hot tea with "free refill" no one offered to refill...
