We are from out of town and came here without a reservation. The staff told us they were fully booked but when we mentioned we were from out of town and didn’t think to make a reservation, we were willing to leave but she quickly was able to fit us in! The food was amazing, and the service was excellent! The restaurant was very well themed and cozy! Our waitress even had little gifts for the kids to keep them occupied. We highly recommend this restaurant and if we are ever in town again we will absolutely be back!

This was our first time here, we went for lunch. I had the kielbasa with mashed potatoes, and broccoli. I also added on a side of spatzele noodles. He had the chicken schnitzel with German sliced potatoes with bacon and added on a side of red cabbage. He also ordered a Krombacher Helle. We had the 2 soft pretzels for an appetizer. All the food was excellent along with the service. Can't wait to go back and try other items.

The wild game sausage sampler appetizer and sausage combo platter were both hits at my table. The apple strudel was also a pleasant surprise. The wait staff went out of their way to make sure the kids had a good time. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Good German food. I had the Jagerschnitzel, and my wife had the Ziegunschnitzel. Both were very good and freshly made, and we heard the chef pounding the cutlets in the kitchen. However, the lunch portion size was very small. 1 small pork cutlet each.
I ordered the potato dumpling and red cabbage with mine. The potato dumpling was very bland, and the crouton in the middle was mushy white bread. The red cabbage was excellent.
My wife had hasbrowns, which were seasoned good and delicious.
We also shared an oeder of potato pancakes, which were also freshly made but lacked any seasoning.

We’ve been here multiple times. At one point me and my father in law were here in a weekly basis. This visit was extremely disappointing.
We didn’t have a reservation, but got sat pretty quick anyway. That’s when the issues started.
First the gentleman who’s the owner was more interested in entertaining his friends that were over than running the place.
We sat with no server coming to our table for 20+min until one server noticed and asked us if someone had come take care of us. We told her no and she went on to tell the owner.
We put our drinks, appetizers and food order in all at once, the server was a little hesitant as I believe it’s not how the owner wants things to be done.
Drinks came quickly, appetizers took a while, food …… 1:45hr later and nothing. With a hungry 3 year old and a 15 months old it started getting a little difficult to wait.
People that were friends with the owner and got sat after us got their food way before us.
To us it seemed that the owner was giving preference to his buddies and making the other customers wait.
We left without eating dinner. Just paid for appetizers and drinks and left.
Won’t be coming back anytime soon.

We have always loved this restaurant, but last Saturday night was a disaster!! 4 of us ordered dinner and at least 45 min. later, no dinner, no sign of the waitress!! She finally, sheepishly approached the table and said, "your dinners are coming," and then sped away. FINALLY we received all 4 dinners. Everyone enjoyed theirs, but my Sauerbraten was tough and leathery. When I requested to see the owner, the hostess appeared and was curt. (I was told it was the owner). We were VERY disappointed in our experience at this otherwise very good restaurant!

I’m hesitant to leave a poor review, though this has to be shared. We’ve been multiple times, had great experiences and it was busier than tonight. We waited over 45 minutes for food, where tables next to us and sat and ordered us received their food before. We brought it to the waitresses attention, she said it should be coming out soon. No apology for the time it took, and when the food came out she blamed the wine chicken for being the longest to prepare meal in the restaurant and there were other big tables ahead of us. Then the female owner came over, also with no real apology and blamed a catering order she had in ahead of us. It left a sour taste in our mouths… we will go back… if it’s a better experience, I’ll change the review, if not, not.
