I'll get the praise out of the way first because first and foremost we hired her for our wedding cake because we have heard nothing but great things about her cake and they were all true. The cake tasted amazing and was beautiful. That being said, the experience was one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a customer. Jennifer is difficult to reach, no website, no voicemail, and no email. You are lucky to reach her when you do but then her attitude makes you question hiring her to begin with regardless of the good cake. Long story short, communicating with her became so difficult that it resulted in her almost telling us to go with a different vendor and made my mom cry just a few weeks prior to my wedding. All we were asking of her was clear communication and we did not receive that. Unfortunately, I would not recommend her to other brides because your wedding is already a high stress, difficult to plan event and if I were to do it again I would go with a vendor who had slightly less fantastic cake but better service 100%.

Jennifer is AMAZING!! She can be difficult to get ahold of on the phone at times. When we connected, we spent quite some time discussing the options and she was very patient with my decisions and offered suggestions on what would work (and things that would not). She did a beautiful job on our wedding cake and we are very happy with how it turned out! I liked a lot of details from different styles of cakes, so we worked together to create a cohesive vision. we wanted something unique, yet sophistocated and "fancy". Would highly recommend Jennifer Shaffer for all of your custom cakes! There are many flavor options but we stayed simple and were not disappointed. Delicious!

The cake was perfectly packaged for transport and survived a 50 mile trip. Needless to say, the cake was a hit! Thank you for this beautiful cake.

Jennifer made a materpeice of a cake for our wedding, June 5, 2021. The fact that she made every single element by hand is mind blowing to me. Everything but the cake topper was edible. The butterflies were so romantic and beautiful! I can't believe that much talent is in one person! Oh AND the cake was absolutely delicious. Our bottom layer was chocolate with a chocolate filling and the second layer was a white cake with strawberry filling. She had cut fresh strawberries for our cake!!! Photos posted....

Jennifer Shaffer Cakes are in my opinion, the best cakes in Erie county and beyond. Also her many years experience have made her nearly a mind reader with the design process, wonderful experience all around! Can I say wonderful again... Lol.
