I always enjoy a Country Pride / Iron Skillet but this one was a league above the others! Very relaxing café atmosphere. Food was out quickly and tasted great. And Josie was a very welcoming server with a great attitude! I would absolutely recommend stopping in on your travels!

Stopped in at the Country Pride and had Josie as my server. She was very kind, polite, and attentive. The only thing I didn’t care for personally was being called “kiddo.” I’m a grown man, and while I understand it may just be her way of speaking or where she’s from, I’d prefer to be addressed with a bit more respect as a truck driver.
As for the restaurant itself, the food was solid—no complaints there. The seating, however, could use some attention, as some of the chairs are torn and in need of updating. Overall, the visit was decent, though with a few small improvements, the experience could be much better.

Husband stopped here for his break Figued he wouold go in and grab a bite. He sat down and ordered a turkey club it came out with no mayo they were out of mayo she handed him light mayo packets. At that point he should have just said forget it,but instead he took it back to the truck where he had mayo. When he opened it to his surprise there was no bacon or tomato on it either. Thinking maybe he was wrong I looked up the menu and it should have had bacon and tomato as well as mayo Ever since BP bought out the TA it has gone downhill. He is done with them

Any restaurant that doesn't open earlier than 6 is useless to me. I wake up at 5 and I'm rolling by 6. Open earlier. Otherwise you're useless to me.

Biscuits and gravy! That's all I needed, but the country fried was damn good too.

We were on a trip coming back to Jersey. We spotted this place from the road and pulled in. The waitress was hilarious and fun. The place only had a couple of people in it. Our food arrived quickly. I had the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast with scrambled eggs and hash browns. The eggs were overcooked. I grew up eating then that way. I should've ordered Sunnyside up or softly scrambled. The coffee was hot and plentiful. The only downside was that the restroom was a filthy nightmare! Seriously, I'm thankful I ate my meal first. I would not have eaten there if I saw the restroom first. I liked the food and service. I've seen cleaner bathrooms in busy strp clubs on a holiday weekend. There wasn't much country pride in that room. Check the restroom first. If it looks and smells like a horror movie go elsewhere.

Country Pride in Lamar was a joke. Melissa, our waitress, was practically invisible. Empty drinks, cold food, and zero attention. It was like she was trying to make herself disappear.
The roaring '20s were about excitement, but Melissa brought us back to the silent era with her terrible service. Country Pride needs a new act, or they'll be the ones vanishing. Now you see them, now you don't!
The burgers we ordered were so - so.
The patty was dry and tasteless. Maybe tasted like cardboard...
There was such small amount of sauce on it, you barely tasted it.
Mozz sticks were very good. The marinara tho - not. Tasted really weird.
Also the club soda i ordered tasted like chlorine from pool.
We stopped here on our trip through Pennsylvania. Our waitress Josie was wonderful. She was personable, and was able to have the chef make exactly what I wanted, even though it wasn’t on the menu! The place was extremely clean. We’d stop here again next trip through Pennsylvania.
Had chicky parm, pasta. Was ok. Sauce tasted a bit burnt, chicken was very dry. But managed to get it down. The toast that came with was terrible. Had some kind of nasty spoiled butter. Ugh.
Great service! Amazing food! Huge portions.
