The best cafe in Lancaster. If you value fresh locally sourced ingredients and chill settings, this should be your go-to place for breakfast or lunch. So far this seems like a hidden gem. There's nothing else like Amanita around these parts.

Great service here. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Coffee: serves Passenger Coffee (not a fan, notes are tin and sour from Ethiopian beans)
Breads: serves Elsewhere breads. Not too sweet like others, but supposed to be sourdough (didn't get the taste)
Cookies: serves Front Porch cookies and biscotti. Biscotti were good.
I would like to try their lunch menu but we came too early.

Best steak and eggs ive ever had in my life. Unsure what seasoning was used but I've never had it before and loved it.

I'm not going to justify the price points for the food, atmosphere or drinks. The artisanal drinks look nice but in reality there are other restaurants locally that can serve the same type of food and drinks for more reasonable prices (and they dont charge you extra to make the drink taste pleasant).
The business has a set theme for their drinks. This punishes people who don't have the tolerance for the bold flavor profile of espresso and then it punishes them further if they want to soften that strong flavor by charging them more for trying to shift the flavor profile to their comfort level.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was buzzing—hip, modern, and full of energy. My wife ordered the bagel sandwich, and each bite delivered a burst of freshness, especially thanks to the vibrant, delicious pesto. I went with the Pastrami and Swiss, which was packed with bold, savory flavor, though the bread slightly outbalanced the fillings—I’d love a bit more pastrami next time! The fries were outstanding: perfectly crisp and golden, clearly made with care. To round out the meal, the organic tea amazed me with its subtle yet perfectly balanced flavors. Altogether, it’s easy to see why this spot draws a crowd. We left already planning our next visit.

The shakshukah was mid, compared to restaurants in other towns. Other things we had were OK too. Lovely staff and space.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a unique charm that makes you want to linger. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell they truly care about the quality of what they offer.

Everything is beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor — a real treat for the senses.

Pricey for breakfast relative to other city options. Bench seats super uncomfortable. Food still great. Loved the old place but won’t be coming here as often.

First time there. Great new location. Staff friendly and attentive. Had their black cherry egg cream. Very yummy. and their seasonal salad with fresh peaches and snow peas. Well done. Will be back.

Y’all. Im not typically the type to take the time to write reviews. But - my partner and I have been driving almost once a week from Harrisburg (~1hr) just to go to Amanita for about 2 years now, even before they moved to their new location. But I just have to share about this place, though I barely know where to begin! Their Salmon Lox bagel has been our weekly staple for years, but recently we have started branching out a bit. Since they’ve opened their new space, we’ve had the burger - incredible, literally the most perfectly cooked burger I think I’ve ever had, and it’s local beef! Seasonal salad - with peaches?! - was maybe the only salad I’ve ever salivated over, and then it exceeded expectations, and the bagel sandwich on an everything bagel (with 1 extra egg) with cheddar and aioli was literally the best bagel sandwich I have EVER had. The drinks are incredible, coffee is amazing, tea selection great, organic ceremonial matcha!!!!!! Where they do DAT AT?!?! You can get an assortment of medicinal/adaptogenic tinctures added to your drinks (a little cordyceps in my morning beverage??? Why thank you!). And the staff is personable, bright, and you can tell take great pride in their craft, service, and environment. And, speaking of which, crazy that I’ve written this much and said nothing of the actual space - which is incredible. Beautiful high ceilings, plants all over, exposed brick walls, a truly stunning nature-scape mural along the whole right wall, complete with plants, animals, mushrooms - it truly elevates the experience in the setting. Even the bathroom I was like, “wait, why do I feel like I just wanna chill in here?!” Anyway, this place is absolute top tier cafe vibes, quality, and experience. You’ve already read this far, don’t look elsewhere, just go. You’re welcome!

Was looking for a new cafe to try with a friend this morning and we landed on Amanita. I'd definitely come again! Friendly, helpful barista and kitchen staff, amazing [whole grain sourdough?!] toast with olive oil and salt, and the best maple steamer I've had yet!
