What a unique little spot , Bert introduces himself immediately upon arrival as he is working the bar or roaming around the area , ask him about his story or the plans for the location, he is absolutely passionate about his craft , beer was excellent and unlike the other spots around the area , I'm excited to go back and try the food , highly recommended

We love Bert and the elephant!! Pinky the inflatable was visiting when we went which was so cool! Absolutely amazing Belgium beer selection. The cafe is warm and welcoming and the attention to detail is everywhere. Fantastic location close to everything and truly well thought out. Can't wait to return and especially in the warm weather to hang in the huge outdoor space.

Four of us had a nice dinner, good beer and pleasant service by our waiter, along with a friendly handshake from Bert. It was not overly loud, but one open bar room and we sat at an end booth along the wall. We will be back. I enjoyed the sour beer!

I would give Bert & The Elephant 10 stars if I could. One of the best selections of Belgian beers in the region. Newly opened. Welcoming and friendly vibe. Love the bar. Food selection was decent, but Delirium Tremens on draft and 25 others on tap - you can’t go wrong. Go see Bert.

Bert greeted our table and explained the menu and beers. He was very warm and passionate and I really hope his restaurant is successful! Beer menu is extensive and the reason for any beer connoisseur to visit. The food was very good but needs some seasoning tweaks to be great. The standout was the poutine. The gravy tasted just like my great grandmother’s cooking. The other meals we ordered needed more salt. I recommend more butter, garlic, and seasonings since the base was good! Thanks Bert! I’ll be back.

Went for lunch this past weekend. The team at Bert's is so welcoming and friendly. We felt as if we were visiting a friend home for lunch not a restaurant. Beer selection is amazing. Food was also delicious. We had the Fried Pollock and Lunch Salad. Both were the perfect portion size and priced appropriately. Definitely someone we will regularly visit.

The food is really good, but not quite great. I'm amped to go back and see how the food evolves! Hoping they take as much advantage of the fresh food available from market as possible.The beer menu was awesome, and service was wonderful. Bert was a super kind host, and everyone not only treated us kindly, but warmly, like we were regulars.I will see the restaurant felt a little dark, and the music was very quiet. not a huge deal, but felt like it could have been a bit more upbeat! Definitely won't stop me from trying again.There's lots of room to grow, but what they've got going on is really good!

Just had beers in the afternoon on a Thursday. Beers were reasonably priced for imports and bartenders took care when pouring our beers, slicing off the foam and cleaning off the glass before presentation.
