I have been to the Bistro on the ground floor on two previous visits. It was great The temporary space on the second floor was lackluster in ambience. I hope the renovations are completed soon. I will return soon . CHeers

This restaurant is by far the best fine dining I've experienced living in Lancaster Pa. The service was excellent and the food was tremendous! Thanks to this restaurant my 7 year anniversary celebration couldn't of had been better!

Bistro Barberé is usually a favorite, but last night missed the mark. I understand your regular location is under construction, but the temporary ballroom space lacked ambiance and didn't feel welcoming. Service was extremely slow—there were no busboys, so our server was doing everything—and it took quite a while for both appetizers and mains to arrive. We also never saw a manager checking on tables. Unfortunately, it wasn't the Bistro Barberé experience I'm used to. Hoping things return to form once you're back in your usual spot.

Been here three times and ordered something different each time. So far, all meals have been excellent. Highly recommend! (It's a little chilly inside the restaurant, so being a sweater)

Was unaware that the dining room had been relocated to the second floor in a non-descript event space. Apparently they're repainting the main dining room. Would have been nice to know that. There is no bar seating. The bartender was our server. She was nice but seemed busy. Overall staffing seemed off. Food was good but more creative options available at other city restaurants. Not sure I will be back based on atmosphere and food options. Just not the same.

We're regulars and will be happy when dining returns to the first floor and we can sit at the bar again. Staff is superb but have to "make do" in the temporary quarters.

Is Barberet under new management? Food still good, but service is going down-significantly ! The waiter at restaurant didn't take my order until 30 minutes after being seated. He didn't take our drink order either... smh. When he did, he got it wrong. Seemed that he had no interest in serving our table but instead what seemed to be his friends at the next table. In any case, food is not worth the wait. I will say the dessert in the bakery downstairs is still beautiful.

Spent a decent amount of money on macarons. The flavor was lack luster. The texture of the cake was nice but each one I tried barely tasted like the flavor it was supposed to be. The customer service was great and it's very nice inside.

I was excited to stop by and grab a pastry, but unfortunately, the service didn’t live up to expectations. The woman behind the counter was incredibly rude, with a dismissive attitude that made the whole experience uncomfortable. Not only was she unhelpful, but she also messed up my order, giving me the wrong pastry altogether. It was really disappointing—especially because the pastries themselves are usually pretty good. I’m not sure I’ll be coming back if the service stays like this.

I am so so sad to see this place in decline. The air conditioning was out we were poorly served. It felt like we were a burden to the staff. I got the pasta special which was a gnocchi and it felt like an appetizer size. Probably won't go back which is a shame because I used to love this place.
