We really wanted to like this place - especially since my family and I love a good brewpub. Unfortunately we didn’t feel the place was very welcoming. They only had one person working the bar, and the food and beer were just ok. We had chosen this pub based off others’ reviews so maybe it was just an off night.
Nice brewery, comfortable pub area, good selection on tap, and friendly staff.
Not very good from my experience
Excellent meal, fantastic drinks, wonderful staff, and a tremendous aesthetic/vibe. Will definitely be coming back soon, can't recommend this place enough! The fly life was an unanticipated 10/10
Great beers. Bangin burgers. Very reasonable price for a 1/3lb patty with fries. Check them out.
Was a good place to go when in town. We were there for lunch, and there were still empty tables on Saturday. The food was good, flights are available. Went back around 3 pm for a cask opening, and it was filled. The parking lot was packed. Plan accordingly when you plan to go. Like the selection of darker ales.
Great beer selection. Lots of HAZY IPAs!
We had their Carnitas tacos. They were on the sweet side, and I’d highly recommend to ask for corn tortillas instead flour. Fish and chips were delicious too!
Enjoyed a great stout ' In the shadows ' here! Awesome way to end our brewery tour, ample parking and even an outdoor seating area.
Decided to go to Cartel Brewing and Blending for my first time since it was previously Hunger and Thirst. In my own opinion it is a warm atmosphere and relaxed, they had rock music playing where you could still talk to people and carry an easy conversation. On to the negatives I understand that everyone is trying to save a buck and a lot of this cuts out overhead costs but it would make it an even friendlier atmosphere. You order at the bar, there are no waiters just beer and food jockeys, they are not the most attentive. The food is decent as far as pub food goes, wish there was more of a selection, prices are slightly high but I can live with that. The beer was alright, I have done my fair share of indulging, I was not impressed to the point where I felt any desire to take any home with me. I suppose I am still finding myself comparing it to Prime time Hunger and thirst and because so little has changed visibly I am disappointed. All in all decent place to stop for a drink I would not base my night around it though.
Our new favorite spot! Everything was incredible - the beers, the food (highly recommend the beef & cheddar and buffalo cutlet sandwich) and the service! Cute and cozy little space. We’ll be back for sure!

Been here quite a few times and have never been disappointed! They have a great patio area, and have a selection of table games you can borrow to play while you are there.
The cocktails feature local spirits, and the selection of beers are made by Cartel and other local breweries.
The BLT and hop fries are great!
I frequent nightlife in Lancaster and let me say, every time I return to cartel I am surprised by the ingenuity of their beer and their great beer! You should definitely return at least once a month.
Amazing food and beer to die for. We had the Belgian triple. Ended up ordering 3 rounds. For food we had the French onion soup(amazing), chicken caesar wrap, buffalo chicken wrap, carnitas tacos, and beef and cheddar sandwich. All melted in our mouths. Highly recommend. We loved everything. Staff was great as well.
Nice and small brewery, kid and stroller friendly. They have a nice outdoor space, I didnt get ant pictures of but go check it out your self. We didn't get any food but we are excited to go back and try more food and drinks. They have a specials wall listing what they have going on that week. If you are interested there is an insiders club getting free drinks and what nots.
Great beer. Friendly staff. #10 IPA (don’t recall the name) was one of the best I’ve had. Perfect stop after a bike ride on the Susquehanna.
