My family and I went here to have lunch and watch sunday football a few weeks ago, and we loved it! The food was delicious - I highly recommend the chicken parm sandwich and fries. All of the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming and we found it to be a fun place to watch some football and eat some good food. We will definitely be returning, and I am especially looking forward to coming back in the summer and eating on their patio that overlooks the river.

The waitress Les was so good. The catfish was slamming and you get 2 filets! The Marshmallow Mule was so good, and don't get me started on the Blueberry Creme Brulee Cheesecake! The owner spoke to us and he was so nice. My new to go place to eat!

Mama Mel is the best bartender!!! She is the sweetest and most attentive!!! The food is absolutely delicious and never disappoints!! I understand why they won the best new restaurant in Lancaster. It’s been the best change and well needed! Love it here and will always come back!!!

Im not one to leave a bad review but man!!!! We were Completely disappointed! Won’t be back! Went today( a Sunday) arrived about 1:00 pm. There was a party of about 12 finishing up . Waitress was.. ok. Took our drink order. 2 waters with extra lemon, hubby got a Bloody Mary. No extra lemon (not a big deal) Hunbys Bloody Mary was strong but the flavor was basically V8.. Still… ok … whatever Appetizer came around 15 minutes and was good! ( I forget what they are called but they were 2 rice balls with cheese and sausage) Our entree’s were crab and shrimp scampi and chicken parm. Both were supposed to come with salad and garlic bread. 45 minutes in we got our side salads. Waitress did apologize about the wait and said it was do to the party (who had already left about a half hour before) making us feel like we as paying customers as well were being ignored (maybe because it was only 2 of us???) By this time, the 5 tables of people who came after us were already served and either half way through their meal or leaving . About an hour and half in, we got our entrees (no garlic bread ) Hubby had to immediately send his back because the lemon flavor was so acidic and overwhelming! Weird his new dish came out like 2 minutes later after waiting an hour and a half for the first attempt of receiving our food! Portion barely filled the bottom of the bowl. 5 shrimp and maybe an ounce of crab for 28 bucks. The chicken in my Parmesan chicken was left in the deep fryer too long and black on one side and on the edges. Sauce was bland and tasteless! Like it was a tomato puree poured straight from the distributor’s can. They didn’t add any seasoning at all! The best part of our meal was the ranch for our salad. After sitting awkwardly for about 20 minutes waiting for the waitress to notice we were done, I had to go find her for the check and boxes. She was hanging out behind the dessert case laughing and chitchatting. Sad because I read good things about this establishment… but clearly we were forgotten about ….

Time and again I’m impressed by Conestoga Restaurant. The chef really knows what they’re doing; every item on the menu is prepared exquisitely, the portions are generous, and the selection is broad. It has gotten to the point where if we want to go out, it is difficult to consider other Lancaster restaurants that offer similar cuisine.
My one any only complaint is the wait staff is somewhat hit or miss; some are clearly professionals and others seem poorly trained. It is hardly a sufficient reason to choose a different restaurant however, the view while dining outside is wonderful, and the food cannot be beat anywhere else in Lancaster.

Honestly, we ate dinner there tonight and it was awful. 1st we waited over 15 minutes until a server came to our table. then 10 more minutes to get our drinks. we finally order, and our food and salads came out at the same time!!! I ordered the shrimp and crab scampi over linguini. It tasted like dirty fish water, and I am not exaggerating! it took a good 10 or so minutes to get the waitress back yo the table to tell her I didn't care for it. she offered me another meal, so I told her what I would like. we waited at least a half hour! I had to flag her down and tell her that we now need to leave, to forget about my food...just bring our check. It was an absolutely horrible evening. The service was terrible!!! I hope the owner is looking at this review.

What a wonderful experience. Paige our server was very attentive and personable. I had the Italian wrap and it was packed with meat and cheese and was not on visually appealing but a winner for the taste buds. Kudos to new owner Brian and his new endeavor!

I have to admit, we go out to eat quite a bit and I must say, service, food, atmosphere were all beyond expectations. That was THE best burger I’ve had in I couldn’t tell you how long. Since new ownership the place has really took a step or 5 up! I asked our server Lex if she was an owner. She was extremely attentive, very personable and efficient! We will more than definitely be back to try more of the menu! We got there just in time before the dinner rush! My drink was made exactly how I like them. Thank you Conestoga for a great Friday early Eve out!

My experience, slow service, food was OK.... but I've had better steak, that's for sure. Chili, now the chili was AWESOME... REALLY good pricing and great atmosphere. If I'm in the neighborhood again, I'll DEFINITELY try it again.
