I have been to this establishment a handful of times and I will say that the food is generic and nothing to state ill of, however the service is subpar and the owner or owner's wife has no sense of customer service and is very rude. She has no respect for her customers and discriminates against them. I am the type of person who generally has no complaints and believes we all do our best but I was dealt with severe injustice and discrimination that I could not turn a blind eye on. Our party was sectioned in swivel chairs in which at least one of the party members could not sit on. We respectfully asked the waitress if we could have another option for a table/seating, to which her reply was getting the manager/owner (we didn't ask for a manager and were Just expecting a yes or no answer). We were told by the manager or owner that moving was not an option and I am more than confident in saying that we understood and were ok with the outcome. What happened thereafter 1 am still baffled by. The respect and humanity in Laura is nonexistent and I am saddened that someone like this owns this establishment. I highly recommend going elsewhere. She is very rude and should consider a profession elsewhere, that doesn't interact with humans.
I’ve been to Double C many times but tonight was by far the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant ever. The group I came in with were looking to get some appetizers and drinks to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted and sat immediately at the high top tables. The chairs, or rather swivel stools, were terrible. Hard to sit at. Some of our party were larger women which made our table very uncomfortable and awkward to sit at. We requested a different seating choice. Given that it was moderately busy it was unlikely to happen but we thought we would ask given that there was an open booth close by. What happened next was ludicrous. The “owner” came up to us stating that she was going to have to “slow our drinking down” for our “safety”. No one in our party was drunk and we had ordered one pitcher of margaritas to share among 5 guests and also ordered appetizers and were looking to order more. She started to argue with us about our behavior while insulting us and telling us that she would call the cops. Laura the “owner” was completely disrespectful and would not let anyone at the table speak. When asked what we did that indicated that we were intoxicated beyond being served, she could not give an explanation until she left to go ask the server. I’ve never been so disrespected and beyond disappointed in a restaurant experience. I will never go back to this place and will tell anyone that will listen how horribly that was handled. Laura Cavanaugh is not even the owner she is the wife of the owner and a completely disrespectful human being.
Solid food and atmosphere. Great staff!

It was OK. I thought the food was a bit pricey. It was also very greasy. Our table had very weird swing out chairs which made sitting kind of strange.

We had a confirmed reservation for four at 7:00 on a Saturday evening. We arrived 10 min early, checked in with the hostess & proceeded to the bar to wait & wait & wait some more. There was no update from the hostess, not even a glance at us & I could practically touch the hostess station from my seat at the bar. I finally checked with her again, explaining I had a res at 7 & it’s now 7:30. She had no explanation. She said the manager would be out to explain. The manager came out & apologized telling me she has no control over the people seated before us. Understandable, however I watched 2 parties of 4 that arrived after us get seated. I mentioned this to the manager & she said she wanted to seat us at a “good” table & then we would talk. Not sure what she meant by we would talk. Idk. Seemed like bs. We were finally seated after a 45-50 min wait. We ordered a taco sampler, homemade chips with salsa & queso & bone marrow butter with toast points for apps. The salsa & queso were okay. The homemade chips were thick & hard, not the usual light & airy chip I expected. The bone marrow butter had a tiny drizzling of bone marrow over a small cup of butter. I forget the price. The taste was nothing earth shattering & I thought it was very salty. The tacos had fresh ingredients & a homemade flour tortilla, however they were cold & the tortilla was very thin, making eating it difficult & sloppy $30 for 4. I had planned on ordering a crab cake as my entree, but they were out so I ordered a black & bleu burger with mushrooms & sautéed onions. Didn’t taste any bleu cheese or mushrooms bcz the burger was piled high with soggy sautéed onions that hid everything else. That too was very messy eating bcz the onions soggied up the roll. For $22 it should be the best damn burger I’ve ever eaten. It didn’t even come close to the top 3 of my favorites. I also ordered their specialty drink which sounded delicious, a pear chai margarita. Tasted like a regular margarita with too much sours mix. I expected better for $15. My husband had a beer for $12. The ambiance was dark & cold & very very loud. The table we were seated at was huge so it was difficult to have an enjoyable conversation. So in conclusion, the prices weren’t out of this world, and I never mind paying any establishment’s prices, however, I expect better than mediocre, at best, fare. I don’t plan on a return visit.

Incredible burger and the margarita was awesome too. Lesley was super friendly and sweet. My father-in-law is the one who recommended it and I'm glad we listened to him.

Cool place, good beer and cocktail menu. I should've gone burger or bowl like the rest of my group but went with the crab cake special. Maybe it's me but lots of filler and old bay and claw meat. I expected lump given the price and quality of the other food. I'll know next time.
