I truly can’t say enough great things about Emily and our catering experience. We chose the Italian Bar with Alfredo and Mac & Cheese, and it was absolutely phenomenal. I was initially worried we’d have too much food since fewer guests showed up than expected, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The food was so delicious that everyone was eager to take home leftovers. Emily even brought to-go containers, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Our event was a double celebration, marking my fiancé’s 5-year remission and a surprise engagement party, and Emily made it all the more special. She handled both the setup and takedown quickly and efficiently, answered every question I had with patience, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail were outstanding.
It’s clear that Emily truly loves what she does and takes great pride in delivering the best service possible to make each event meaningful and memorable and it absolutely showed.

Emily's replies were professional, thorough, and helpful. She worked with our budget, offered creative solutions to potential challenges, and confidently helped us put together a great-sounding menu that we thought would make people happy - WHICH IT ABSOLUTELY DID. Everyone at my mother's service raved about the food, commented on the beautiful presentation, and wanted to know who had done the catering. They also lingered longer than expected, went back multiple times for additional nibbles, and clearly felt both happy and cared for, which was the goal. It had been clear from the start of our communications (and from her website + social media) that Emily loves creating a positive experience for guests at each event she caters, and I truly believe you can taste that love in her food. FWIW before hiring GEMS we got quotes two other local caterers, and we also explored the option of purchasing pre-made trays and drinks from a high-end grocery store and doing the setup/tear-down ourselves. Emily's pricing was comparable if not better than all of those others, and by hiring her we also got more variety, better quality, and less stress. Working with GEMS made a very difficult day so much easier for me, and I would urge anyone to hire them for their difficult days and/or their happy ones!
