I hired GEMS to cater a reception for 60 people following my mother's memorial service, and from start to finish Emily and her team were fantastic to work with. Emily's replies were professional, thorough, and helpful. She worked with our budget, offered creative solutions to potential challenges, and confidently helped us put together a great-sounding menu that we thought would make people happy - WHICH IT ABSOLUTELY DID. Everyone at my mother's service raved about the food, commented on the beautiful presentation, and wanted to know who had done the catering. They also lingered longer than expected, went back multiple times for additional nibbles, and clearly felt both happy and cared for, which was the goal. It had been clear from the start of our communications (and from her website + social media) that Emily loves creating a positive experience for guests at each event she caters, and I truly believe you can taste that love in her food. FWIW before hiring GEMS we got quotes two other local caterers, and we also explored the option of purchasing pre-made trays and drinks from a high-end grocery store and doing the setup/tear-down ourselves. Emily's pricing was comparable if not better than all of those others, and by hiring her we also got more variety, better quality, and less stress. Working with GEMS made a very difficult day so much easier for me, and I would urge anyone to hire them for their difficult days and/or their happy ones!

We ordered the strawberry feta crostini, All-American sliders, and meatball parm sliders - everything was a hit and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Emily is very detail oriented and was very knowledgeable about what appetizers could be picked. Her input was very helpful. She was very kind and patient throughout the whole process. If I could give this place NO stars I absolutely would. I can’t adequately put into words how terrible the food was. What was supposed to be a very special night for my aunts 50th birthday turned into a nightmare when we opened the food to serve it. We ordered baked chicken and they gave us grilled chicken strips, even though their website said baked chicken (thighs and drums). We asked for roast beef and were given some sort of stew that had hamburger meat in it, which was terrible. Meatballs were not cooked all the way through and the salmon was VERY dry and smelled fishy. Everything seemed liked they took a short cut and did the bare minimum. As if it was pre packed. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The food was so bad my mom and I were going table to table apologizing for the food because we were so embarrassed. To say we got taken advantage of is an understatement. Do NOT trust this place and take your money elsewhere.

Emily is an absolute "GEM"! We hired her to cater for the Ground's department and volunteers for the US Women's Open at Lancaster Country Club. She brought breakfast and lunch for the crew of 120, everyday for 7 days with a smile on her face and a pep in her step! She was so flexible and we needed that with our ever changing numbers and schedule. I knew I had made the right decision when I called her in a panic on Tuesday explaining our Thursday dinner catering fell through. Without hesitation, she asked what we wanted and what time and she came through with an amazing last minute Italian dinner.
