This is CHEF KEELS 4 DA PEOPLE @ YOUTUBE.COM, I had the pleasure of stopping into this fine Caribbean eatery today. I was not disappointed! The owner and his family were so inviting and confident of the quality of food they put out. I got home and laid out all the food I bought with my wife joining me. we both was transported to an island grill in an island resort. my hat goes off to you sir. I highly recommend everybody, and all of my viewers to stop in and enjoy what they have to offer. GOD BLESS YOU, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA...
Excellent authentic Jamaica style cooking, very good be prepared for some heat. Love the J*** chicken and Hibiscus, ginger drink.
No no and again no! This is not Jamaican food. It’s at best an American that went to Jamaica and wanted to prove to his friends he could make money trying to recreate their food. This may be good to someone who doesn’t know how authentic Jamaican food tastes like but not to those who know the truth. I should of known when I called to place an order and was asking about the dishes and the person knew nothing. I ordered the j*** chicken. J*** chicken is a staple Jamaican dish. Why open a Jamaican restaurant if you haven’t even mastered making that. They used chicken breasts instead of the traditional chicken quarters. Dry and was more like stewed chicken instead of j**** The rice and beans had no flavor and can’t cook basic rice properly.Got a side of Mac and cheese again no! A positive is the portions are huge which is great ONLY IF you enjoy the food tho. I don’t know why I had any expectations of decent Jamaican food in Lancaster, PA of all places!
Friendly services and excellent food!
The only reason a star is missing is that they still feel like its opening night and they are trying to find their groove. However the food is amazing, the staff is incredibly friendly, and we cant wait to go back! Who knew shrimp on a steak sandwich works so well?? Oh, and the wings were some of the best in the county- huge, juicy, and the honey sriracha sauce was *chefs kiss*
After traveling 3 1/2 hours from NJ to meet up with my cousin for her bday I needed a stiff drink. It took forever and a day to get a drink. Barmaid was way too entertained on the phone talking to someone. I had to bring the drinks to our table from the bar. Received the drink after almost 15 minutes and it was subpar. We ordered apps and entrees which took forever to get to the table. The place wasn't that packed that it took so long for service.I ordered a beef patty and the Rasta pasta which was flavorful and the right amount of heat. The place has a nice decor and has potential but needs major improvements on their staff and service. The owner was nice and gracious but again he needs to step it up a bit and hold his staff accountable for lackluster service.
I got a burger sub the burger was burnt to hard to eat.
I was pretty disappointed...I met the owners when they were promoting the Carlisle location. And I also visited the Harrisburg location a handful of times. Beautiful ppl and great food.My friend and I came in from Carlisle, specifically to visit this new establishment and show support. We planned to make a day of it and got a room for the night. We arrived at the restaurant around 10pm. We called prior and was told that the kitchen closed at 11pm. We had more than enough time to enjoy a meal.Upon being seated, it was clear that our server was not interested in serving. He was seated and chatting up his other guests which were clearly his friends. They were planning to go out later that night. He was in a rush. Nevertheless, he was still very polite and knowledgeable. We placed our orders, a few things were out of stock. No problem. We received our food and drinks promptly. Exactly at 10:42, I asked to place an order of plantains and was informed that the kitchen was closed. 18 mins before it should have been. Unacceptable. The cook came out about 5 mins after that and glanced at our table. Minutes to 11pm the employees in the kitchen are all leaving out. It was clear they just didn't want to be bothered.I used to work in food service. If the kitchen closes at 11, it closes at 11, not 10:42.One of the owners was seated at another table. He came over and greeted us. Thank you!The decor and ambiance is amazing. Beautiful colors creating a relaxing atmosphere. Can very easily become a happening spot. Presentation was superb!I mainly left this review to make the owners aware of the poor choice in staff they have. The establishment will not prosper with such lazy workers. We weren't even greeted by the bartender/hostess on the way in or out. Pls get new employees. Ones that will help to build and pour into your business, not cripple it. Bless up!
I came with my family (10 people total) for a celebration last Saturday. Drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert was definitely on point. We paid a little over $200 plus tip. For 10 people, the pricing was great. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The decor gave the feel of being in the Caribbean, on a ship or on the ocean. The j*** chicken was spicy and delicious and the oxtail was was cooked tender; so good. My favorite was definitely the curried goat and rice and peas, hands down! There wasn't a big variety of desserts but the one they had, pineapple butter bread was perfect for my sweet tooth!
Hostess was welcoming, servers Aniesha and J we're fantastic! The owner came out to welcome & thanks us which was very sweet. The food was wonderful! I was in Jamaica recently for the first time, and being here made me feel like I was right back there. Beef patty was on point!

Definitely give this place 5/5 on food and drinks! Service was also wonderful. We loved our dinner here and left absolutely stuffed with leftovers for tomorrow! Only suggestion would be to not have live betta fish in vases on the tables as it is not healthy or humane to keep them in such a small home!
This is one of those rare finds that you wish Google offered a 10 star rating. Friendly, quick and professional staff. Great theme and clean. Food on point. Never thought shrimp would work in steak and cheese but is does and nicely I would add. Plan on making this a regular stop.
Had a great time! Atmosphere was everything, staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was superb! Would definitely recommend for anyone interested in delicious authentic Jamaican cuisine and good vibes. There is nothing not to love about it!
Honestly the tastiest Jamaican food I’ve ever had, especially in Lancaster. And I’ve worked & ate at many different Jamaican Restaurants. My first experience with Jamaican food was a place in NYC & Got J*** Island Grill Lancaster is 10x better than that! You get the Jamaican authenticity in the food & the unique drink menu that they created. The J*** Chicken is juicy & tasty. The Brown stew Chicken is my go to though! It’s my favorite, the perfect mix of spicy & savory. The Escovitch fish is a snapper dish & that’s my fiancé’s favorite. They have 3 sections of the restaurant that give off their own individual vibes. There’s the Aquarium Room, the Ocean Room & the Rum Room. There’s also always music that fills the restaurant. You’ll love your experience for sure. I could go on & on but do yourself a favor & come check it out for yourself. :)
Second time ordering delivery from Got J*** Island Grill. Love the food especially the Pineapple Calypso Plantains❤️But the second time I received a J*** Chicken Macaroni and Cheese without J*** Chicken added… was a bit disappointed and it was not what I paid for.Overall 4 stars cuz the food is still great if it’s prepared correctly! Would recommend.
